My tip is to not make your character perfect! Make flaws, create fails, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, act like you are taking care of the horses, not just doing shows and riding them! Have fun!

I come across people all the time who have their character as the perfect rider who does everything right and she has the perfect horse and wins everything. While this is what everyone might want in real life, it’s just kind of boring in SSO.
I also see people who are like “I showed my horse 5 times today, we are going on a huge competition thing tomorrow” and it’s like when are you gonna take care of your horse and rest it? XD

Here is a tip from me!
One way to make you’re social media account more realistic, is looking at equestrian accounts, like their bios, posts, captions, profile picture, horse names etc. I find that it can make you’re account stand out more :) most importantly, just have fun. Its not something you should get stressed about. Make it the way you want!
Edit: i just wanted to add this. You don’t have to ride irl in order to have a successful rrp account. Just research and dedication is what will help you out. You may notice lots of people in the rrp community are equestrians, but that doesn’t mean you have to be one.

A another tip that goes with you do not have to ride irl just maybe watch real riders on TH-cam or horse show on Netflix like heartland and TH-cam there are pppl like this esme and. More
I agree, I have a riding insta account (irl) and a realistic sso acccount, so it's quite easy to figure out what to put on!
I tend to bring down the brightness very slightly for better definition.

I've got some tips: For those who are just starting out (like me) who want to be a lil more realistic, don't start with a TON of horses. I personally think starting out with 3-5 horses works.
Another tip I use, is an editing tip. I use programs such as Paint 3D (it comes with most Windows computers) to draw halters, ear nets, etc. on to the horse. You can also use it to braid a horse's mane without spending SC. Those are all the tips I can think of at the moment, but I also have a question. How can I start up a RRP community on my server? There's barely anyone on it to host roles with.

How I pick out my story line: I look around in different accounts for good ideas then use that as a base. Then I think of where a when the thing happened and why it happened then I add my little twists to the story to try and make it my own. I also like to follow the community in things like Evelyn birchlunds horse belle being stolen or other big topics in the community just so that I’m up to date on everything so sometimes I will take a big story in the community and use it like belle got stolen then my horse got stolen so it makes sso like not a bunch of different worlds but one big one. I also like to put in things that equestrians would do with their horses on an everyday basis like flat work and things like that no just crazy things every post. This is so great! I think you covered it all once you really get into it trying editing is a really good way to attract more people to your account. Also having certain horses for your account can make it more realistic! In my opininon the most realistic are connemara's, trakehner's, jorvik warmbloods, jorvik ponies, and hanovarian's hope this helped a bit more!

Aw I was watching this video while training and I ran by two pairs on the fort pinta beach who were out riding their horses. It looked so much fun so I got inspired to do some realistic roleplay myself. Haven’t done that in a while so.

This is very helpful for my photography! I also have a fun tip! So if you want your rider to hold their hands lower, do /nod and snap a photo while your horse is cantering at the right time, and your rider will keep their hands lower!

7:29 If you are looking for this shirt it's in the lifetime shop for lifetime star riders at moorland stables and it's free but if you dont have lifetime star rider there are also a ton of great substitutes for this top one of my personal favorites as a substitute is the "warm sweater" from a quest in the main story near the beginning so if you cant find it now you know

I wear that exact outfit everyday lol. I didn't even notice.
My rrp tips: you want to have a long warmup like one lap walk both ways two laps trot both ways Because irl you don’t just hop on and gallop( you could also preyed to lunge to warmup your horse if it’s fresh) and if you are jumping do warmup jumps like cross poles and small uprights before moving onto bigger jumps. And remember to cool off (e.g: walk around the arena a few times until your horse has stopped ‘puffing’) and make sure to groom before and after your ride. You could also show tacking up by using the chat and clicking the faces above and I recommend for tacking up moves are: happy(bridle) don’t understand(saddle pad and saddle)
Stop(leg wraps). And if you want to put bows on the horse stand at the side if you are doing bum bows to give of that ‘realistic’ feel that you should be safe around them. Also(last thing!) you shouldn’t keep doing the same thing all the time like jumping every time you ride; change it up to flatwork or dressage or you could do a bareback lesson, you could also try a new discapline or trail rides.

My tip is when roleplaying and going over jumps for training is to go at a slow gallop because it looks a lot more realistic.
Literally can’t explain how helpful this was 💗 Does anyone have any good idea for photos? Example; lesson, shows, etc?
Hear me out, taking realistic photos can be tedious such as jumping. I do recommend trying to get jumping photos because if you time it right, they always turn out beautiful! You could also do what I like to call a turn canter. Turn while in a canter, then turn and snap. Trail ride pics are always super fun as well!
Another way to get your pictures from your computer to your phone is if you have Discord! I use discord to mainly bring my photos to my phone and it works just as well and is super easy
I do rrps with my starter horse and no-one else and I recommend the blanket from the night dust quest line
What I recommend is to build up...realistic ness..start up semi realistic with maybe a old horse that’s experienced and as you build up knowledge about roleplaying start coming more realistic and doing “green” horses etc.

I don't do realistic roleplay myself although I am really interested. I am also a theatre kid and we do improvisation exercises a lot so I'd like to give a small tip to those who have trouble creating storyline:
Four questions: Who? - Who is your character, who is their family? How old are they? Who are their friends? What are their strengths and flaws? If you can answer these, you already have a
character with personality.
Where? -Where do they live? Where do they ride? Are they happy there or do they want to move somewhere else?
What are their wants? - What do they want to achieve? What are their dreams? Do they believe they can achieve it or do they think it'll be a dream forever?
(Optional) What is the problem? - There doesn't need to be a problem for a good story, but it definitely makes it more interesting. The problem should be something that drives the story
forward and causes inconveniences for the MC. It doesn't always have a solution and sometimes stays with the character for the rest of the story.
Keep in mind that these are simply just tips, if you don't like it you don't have to do it this way. I found that they help me when I need to make up a story that won't sound like I read it out of a children's book. These four questions are also pretty flexible, you can leave some out or add more depending on what the story is going to be about.

I know that you have to buy a club and stuff, but like, what should the names be like and what should events and stuff be like? Thanks :)
how i rrp: i work out my age, gender, horses, how i look, my name etc etc. then i figure out my skill level. after that i decide if i have horses or not. if so, where do i board them? what do they look like? etc etc. once i've sort of got the base later, i get my outfits and stuff sorted, this is key because you don't wear the same thing everyday or the same things. after that i sort of just launch into it and yeah :)
Not a lot of realistic role players lease horses, so you could try that if you want something original :D

Here how I rp: i pick my back story; my name, age, and the other basics. I then choose my horse I try to go for warm bloods because they are very easy to mimic other breeds. Then I think about outfits! What would I real rider wear?( if you don’t ride irl I’d think about this and look at pictures; I ride irl so this isn’t hard) I usually do it on how my RP character feels that day and based on my real weather. And what they wear for shows isn’t what they wear regularly remember that! And if you want to “muck” out your horses stall I wouldn’t wear nice boots just to have that realistic feel. It would be a disaster irl XD. Next I choose my area(ofc if I was in Dino I’d wear all winter stuff) And if you aren’t sure about this like Adelaide said do academy roles. When realistic role-playing, I tend to be literate and use paragraphs rather than putting in: -Eats grass-
I've seen tons of other people put in what I used as an example, and it will get annoying. I'm so used to writing a lot, to the point I don't think I can roleplay with those people. Haha.

I do loads of realistic rps in Star Stable lately and find it quite satisfying for some reason, just to have the feeling like you are a “ professional “ horse rider.
I do tend to rp with a lot of friends, I give them riding lessons and such, and fun things like that.
I also do wild rps ALOT.
But besides all this blabbering, this video is amazing, keep it up!!

Personally, when editing the photo on Instagram, I put the sharpness all th way it can go, as sometimes my star stable photos turn out blurry. Hope this helps!
