Master of survival is Nemsy alone, her treasure at lvl 10 heal fo 160 everytime taunt get damage, once you get "You cant touch it" treasure she can solo everything they throw at you
Not Vanndar. I faced him lvl 1 with cant touch this 11 and by turn three he was finishing my last few mercs with his gain 100 atk and attack everyone move. Was 323 when i finally died, with a full group.
Man I really regret sinking all of my renown into coin exchanges. :( If I knew this was coming I would have seriously hoarded it. It's gonna take years to get enough renown to do this 😭
What should I be using to get started in Mythic Boss Rush? I have about 2k Renown. Should I just spend it all on leveling everything on Geddon and Chi-Ji to level 10? Is that the best use for it?
I used same 5 celestials + mutanus. Mutanus is like a celestial from the start with damage reduction ability + taunt which is protecting celestials at first fight. Mutanus is taking zero damage. It was much easier than your run with Baron Geddon.
The reason it was much easier is because your celestials are actually upgraded. OG ran out of renown before he got to try celestials. It's not a reflection of Geddon vs Mutanus. Mutanus is great of course at preventing damage from attacks, but he's useless against spells if they target someone else pn your team.
It makes me kinda sad that I won't be able to play this or other comps that might look interesting or strong since there is no way to farm Renown in a TIMELY manner. It takes just way too long and the grinding is awfully boring. Guess I have to keep watching what you come up to. Keep it up Old Guardian! :)
You still have more renown than OG does. His celestials have nearly zero upgrades apart from the treasure because he ran out of renown trying other things. As he showed in a previous video, going pure celestials works even with next to no renown.

Every member of my fire comp is weaker than OG's (which is totally fine) and I have around 1k left so I am able to power up 1 more merc, or maybe 2, but obviously I won't manage to beat 400+ bounties, which is also totally fine. I didn't put that much time into the mode, so I don't expect to own every instance of the Boss Rush with ease, but it's just unfortunate that I (and many others) won't be able to play around with more comps than fire or celestials. I am curious what other powerful synergies exist in Mythic Boss Rush and it just saddens me a bit to never be able to find out myself. Anyways, the Yogg bug is so stupid wow, I guess we can count on a fix by April/May? I don't see Blizz paying too much attention after killing mercenaries.
@@TrafalgarWakka I didn't know how much you had left but considering OG had zero, I figured you were likely to have more than him! The first time he tried celestials he could just barely afford to level up the one important treasure a bit and that's really all you need for celestials. Go back and watch his previous celestials video, he says multiple times that they're barely more than rookie maxed mercs. 1k should be plenty to start with.
I went back and looked at his celestials video again. You can see the level of each of his abilities, equipments and treasures. I counted 1190 renown invested into 4 mercs (not counting Chi-Ji which like yours, was already upgraded for fire and Cookie which also was in his fire comp and gets replaced here by his already upgraded Geddon which you have as well).

But I didn't want to spent all my remaining Renown on Celestials which can take on level 140 or a bit more (we dont know yet how far it will work) if you get the treasure after somehow beating the first hard fight. I want to have at least some Renown in the bank to spent in the case of some awesome synergy emerging in the next weeks or so. And my Fire comp could be stronger too but it's just so damn expensive after reaching a certain point (especially Geddon). Out of curiosity, how much Renown did you spent / do you have left?
Bottle of Infinite Starts is the best on Long'xin. For Yu'lon, Pearl of Yu'lon in Celestials, at least for the time being, but Jadefire Spear may become better if it is fixed. Currently, Jadefire Spear's mythic upgrades do nothing.
What do you think about a combination of celestial and Biggleworth? He can give Niuzao and his kitties poisonous, which allows oneshotting 1000hp+ bosses…
@@mmarkusgaming that is pretty interessting, thank you for all the details! My concern is that you only get around 250 coins per hour if you farm pretty consistent. If your comp is slightly advanced it is maybe 1 upgrade… I guess it doesnt matter how ambitious you are in this mode, you need to be coin efficiant. Other topic: Lilian is my last unmaxed merc, because of the missing bugged equipment. Any news on this?

Are repeat Mythic runs bugged? I ran a lvl 100 Mythic with this comp after completing it at lvl 140 and, as expected, at the end it said I received 25 renown. But then, in my tavern, my renown value did not change at all!
I've been trying to theory craft some comps with the limited maxed mercs and coins I have. Been thinking of the basic comps. Shadow, Frost, Nature, Holy etc. Even Xyrella + Samuro. But what I can make out, those arent really gonna do anything. I even tried to think if you could make an Arcane comp work. But everything just seems meh. Seems like one or two comps is gonna work. Like the ones you've shown. Unless you upgrade things REALLY far!
@@impkiller5932 I seem to own all pirates but only smite is maxed. Could try and max the rest and see if they have some intersting treasures. While I was looking at Pirates I saw that Cookie has a treasure that gives spell damage for each murloc you control. That along with along with Morgle's Murloc Missile and Fishy Barage and a murloc that can spawn other murlocs could could be nuts. But agian, I own all of the murlocs and sadly not all of them are maxed.
Could you make a video explaining the new level up system? Is it unlimited, how does cost seem to scale, etc. I have very few maxed mercs, and I haven't been able to figure out it, although cost doesn't seem to go up from what I can tell. Although, if it's not enough to fill a video, that obviously isn't a big deal. I'm just asking you that please think about it. It's something that isn't explained well in game.
@@OldGuardian This is the worst part imo. They should have given us Mythic bounties for the other locations with more coins as the reward to help max the rest of our mercs without renown.

If blizzard really wants to milk mercs one last time they will add respec for runestones. Like reset all merc upgrades for a couple of bucks

Celestial runs take too long compared to Fire IMO, so I'll stick to Fire until the highest level run gets too difficult to clear.

I have no idea how to get some abilities up to level 15. There is no option for it so i stopped bothering all together.

Celestial Chestplate. I don't have any significant upgrades on the Celestials though, so anything goes. But I think it will be the best when leveled.

Relogging should fix that. There's been a visual bug with the renown counter.
Chi-Ji seems to be bonkers in any comp. Btw have you upgraded any of the celestials and if so how?
