I've had stalkers without erotomania: they're fully aware that you want them to leave you alone but they want the power/satisfaction/pleasure of interacting with you and causing you grief anyway. Erotomania sounds more like what I've had trying to meet Jim Carrey... but I left him alone as soon as I realized he wasn't giving enough green flags for me to continue. He didn't even specifically ask me to leave him alone, but I didn't want to cause him stress so that's what I did. That's why I say it "sounds like" I had erotomania, because I did follow him online before I met him, I sent him fan mail, I did reach out to one of his coworkers, and I did knock on his door, and I have wondered whether he contacted me back once, so I've exhibited all the behaviors listed when I google "erotomania" but I left him alone as soon as he didn't sound enthusiastic... but he had also given signs he was interested. Like, after he'd already met me and seemed scared, he came out of his house again a week later to hang out with me when he heard music I was playing, so, I dunno. I think we come up with a lot of names to describe what people do, but what really matters at the end of the day is whether you're present with someone enough to respect their feelings and desires. I will also add that the police told me that someone is not technically a stalker unless they've been explicitly asked to leave the other alone and they don't. They told me this after my second stalker, and that's the simplest way to understand when your attraction becomes a problem. Otherwise, how on Earth will anyone ever meet anyone? The issue is the law, because the laws arent great they legally cant keep him. If he is no longer committing an act or breaking the law it is unlawful for them to keep him in prison, and even if they can arrest him they can only hold him for so long. You also have the issue where by other than harassing someone he hasnt commit further offences so they can just send him away all the time. Stalking is nothing new I absolutely don't understand why punishment by law hasn't caught up with the demand. Why do women have to die because of a stalker???
Strange Question. Can stalkers love ??? Of course not. What is the definition of love ?? Love is good, kind, compassionate, respectful. This stalker is everything the opposite. He has no goodness, no kindness, no compassion, no respect for this lady's wishes or privacy. He is delusional and a lunatic and a danger to society.
I know 3 women who were stalked by men they had had NO INTERACTION WITH. The fact is that some people are sick in the head, and there is no way of preventing yourself from falling victim to them.
No one really believes that stalkers of the kind that move from hundreds of miles to within minutes of one's home and devote their lives to stalking really exist until it happens to him or her. These people are so miserable that they can seemingly find no pleasure except in the egoistic thrill they get from ruining the lives of people who have better lives through dedicated work and living respectfully lawful lives. Stalkers are more evil, patient and demented in their love of chaos than murderers; they are pure personifications of sadistic self-interest. In the Internet era of armchair stalking that can carry privacy violations as far as digital surveillance of a person within her own home... It's time that adequate avenues of dealing with these psychopaths that do not consume what remains of the victims' lives are created.
I’m in the US - my stalker has not been to prison yet - and my local police and district attorney helped to cover up the stalking claiming it was social justice- there is no legal stalking and their claims were lies - 7 years of my property being trespassed and burglarized- no arrest- my life and my closest relationships ruined through the isolation- they had a hacktivist stalk me every day- and interfered with my purchases.
Personal Capacity (Jamie), as someone who has experienced horrific stalking, harassment and witness intimidation online, I can attest to how frightening it is. She should move somewhere else like the UAE, safer country, he won't be able to afford to move to her and even if he did, the laws are so strict at the very least he'd be deported and never allowed to return to the country.
A serious question . If you have a modern mobile phone etc...there is an option to block people you dont want calling you etc....social media also has option to block people too .....good luck 👍
These people always find loopholes thought. You can block a stalker on anything but they still manage to pop up one way or another. Like she said he bought a phone and called her 2 hours after leaving prison

It is a shame she is going through this , where I come from if the police doesn’t handle it , the stalker’s body would have showed up in a river or dumpster a few towns away . We don’t believe in mental illness and such excuses people use in first world countries
This obviously is not aimed at good men: however I do think, from an early age, boys need to be taught to how to accept "no", what to do when told "no", and girls need to be taught how to say "no", so we don't get to the point where the adult male gets a "no" and can't handle it and goes off the deep end. Managing rejection is an art As for the criminality of stalking, it should be taken much more seriously. These are disordered people and repeat offenders (prison THREE times for the same offence??!) should be kept away from the public whatever it takes
i agree with the comment to get a large dog -or two. Also karate lessons and self defense - this will help if she ever needs to defend herself. In the US this would be blamed on her , feminism , women not giving “nice guys a chance” Matt walsh would be crying about men not being able to approach or talk to women anymore
In third-world countries, stalking often stops after a warning, as relatives of the victim may intervene and beat up the stalker. Your family, whether immediate or extended, will be there for you. That's why family is everything and doesn't stop with immediate family

I feel very sorry for what this lady has been through. Obviously every stalking case is different and the stalker has a category. I once worked with a guy where a girl in the office tried to paint him as a weird stalker. The truth was that she had a fiance and had been having an affair with the guy in the office. She simply got scared when he fell for her, so she denied the affair and painted a picture. Nasty piece of work. They are sick and will not stop till something bad happens
Poor woman, this happened to me with someone I worked with. Not to the extreme that this poor lady went through but I did feel unsafe. He left after a while when I bluntly said to him I wasn’t interested or attracted to him. I literally had to be horrible but I do wish I took it to the police in hindsight. It happened over 10 years ago. I have since moved and haven’t seen him since. More women should feel empowered to report it when it happens. I felt shame at the time, as I thought I led him on in some way but I was just being friendly like I was to everyone in the office.
Av been getting stalked by a stranger and av had to quit my job and i hqve him on camera on xmas day standing owtside my house and am now on anxiety meds because of it all and dont feel safe owtside or in my own house .

Stalking is never about romance!!! IT IS ABOUT POWER AND CONTROL.
I can’t believe that stalker was bothering her as well as harassing her
Why can’t the police just keep him in prison and keep him well away from her
The issue is the law, because the laws arent great they legally cant keep him. If he is no longer committing an act or breaking the law it is unlawful for them to keep him in prison, and even if they can arrest him they can only hold him for so long. You also have the issue where by other than harassing someone he hasnt commit further offences so they can just send him away all the time. Really until he does something harmful to her they can only hold him for breaking any retaining order.
Really shes in a literal nightmare situation, its essentially psychological torture. Im terrified for if she has kids or something. He literally studied everything about her and her life.
Have no lessons been learned, laws changed since what happened to that poor girl in Harvey Nichols?
Poor women. She did not deseve this. I hope she is safe from the Stalker again
You are so brave . Keep it up
Somebody called me on the phone for 5 whole years every singel night, all night long between midnight and 8 in the morning. Then it stopped… never found out who it was..
That is truly terrifying. Do you have any suspicions, maybe an ex?
@@MsBombastix i have Been suspicios of everybody, but no i dont know…. Cant think about it anymore cause that will drive me crazy. Think i never will find out…
@@solveigkorneliussen481 That's horrible, would drive me crazy. I hope they never contact you again! I was stalked by my ex for 8 years and he used to call with hidden caller ID but I knew it was him.
I'm the victim of stalking and a couple of weeks ago I looked up an Ant stalking charity...the worst but is it's a relative who is the stalker.
If the Law fails to protect you then you are justified for taking the Law into your own hands. If the Law fails the former than it cannot justify judging you for the latter!
This is so weird,
Wow not only is this story horrific but so are some of the comments from the nameless people trolling in the comments section. I really feel for this woman. Stalking is really serious and life changing. I hope she can become free of him.
Trolls are always nameless…funny that isn’t it.
That is terrible poor woman.
Imagine being this guy and thinking "she'll come round soon" and then seeing this.
Maybe this person needs to be sentenced to Broadmoor Hospital for their psychiatric problems . Jail certainly isn't working .
This reminds me of Baby Reindeer on Netflix which is a true story. A man offered a lady a cup of tea, and that was it.
I hope this lady has protection and finds peace and privacy
it's power because men enjoy having power over women. this is simply one facet of it. it's terrible really.
i wld argue not naturally... cuz movies. religions. cultures brainwash men. b4 those existed we had simple philosophies. being nice to others is being nice to ur self. sorry but stalkers r the product toxic environments and their own traumas. a strong community/family wld fix that. 4 example. if i found out my sister was being stalked. i wld lure him into a quiet spot. then carry out the physical duties with a bro. repeated till desired results r met
Monsters like this guy maybe but not all men do. Not fair to tar everyone with the same brush.
@@jimmyhopkins3589 it's not fair to be on the receiving end of it. most men do it but they do it to varying degrees, even in ways they might not think are controlling.

Where did she mention her hair was thinning or that it was down to stress? Did I miss something?
@@laadeedahI mean, it’s basic common sense that the poor woman will be stressed
@@JM-eg6wj Yes obviously but there is no evidence her hair has anything to do with that. Seems a bit rude to point out something physical and to diagnose the cause.
She might just naturally have hair on the thinner side. Don’t jump the gun and start commenting on her appearance because it’s rude and she might read these comments.
Just what she needs. An internet stranger commenting on her appearance.
She just needs to give her dad a call and he’ll deal with the stalker.

This depends on the stalker. Like he said, if they are willing to get help then they can be rehabilitated.
You have to be careful around men when smiling and being generous, they take it the wrong way
Very true if you pass someone and they smile they just being friendly?no need to read too much in to it maybe
But as a woman if you aren’t friendly and polite to a man, that can trigger violence or hostility too. We can’t win.
I know 3 women who were stalked by men they had had NO INTERACTION WITH. The fact is that some people are sick in the head, and there is no way of preventing yourself from falling victim to them.
NO WE DONT. Your saying woman need to change their personalities so men don’t harass us. NO WE DONT!
@@AnonYmous-j7z1l no im explaining how a mans mind works
I think she’s gonna need a restraining order from that stalker and if he comes a few feet near her he will be arrested on the spot
This is so scary. I am glad stalking victims are getting more attention.
Give it no energy if possible...they love the supply of upsetting you. Indifference they hate.
This is awful, poor woman! Laws need to change, he is clearly unhinged and dangerous
When I saw her name the Ronnie Pickering meme came to my head with her name
Why do the police take this so lightly?
The prisons/courts let them out. Ridiculous! Fails everyone involved even the stalker!
Dr. Sohom Das! ❤ Love him! Look at those socks! He outclasses all other clinicians with that swagger.
I’ve been getting stalked for years but nothing gets done about it I think because I’m a man it’s not taken seriously.
Personal Capacity (Jamie), as someone who has experienced horrific stalking, harassment and witness intimidation online, I can attest to how frightening it is. I am a man, I believe more male victims must come forward. I cannot say much more for legal reasons BUT all power to this Lady for sharing her terrifying experience.
She should move somewhere else like the UAE, safer country, he won't be able to afford to move to her and even if he did, the laws are so strict at the very least he'd be deported and never allowed to return to the country.
That’s quite unrealistic, not everyone can afford to move and run away.
Sadly, the law is reactive and not proactive 😢
You can't lock a person up for a crime they haven't committed yet...
That wasn’t a question…
@@problem.skinnn True, lol!
It’s sad because I am never friendly to any strangers any more because of this. I have become a very hostile person from fear.
Friendliness from a woman is perceived differently than when a man does it. Always have been.
Stalking, gang stalking literally destroys lives. The laws need modernising.
I found his Facebook, wow, the guy is deranged. The messages are creeping me out never mind his victim..
why hasn't he been given help? this is a psychological problem - love addiction/limerance or psychological problem so that needs to be dealt with.
Thats right make excuses for the one in the wrong.
@@mariewalmsley6143 it's not about "excuses". What he has done is very wrong, it's awful for her, but OP is right that the guy needs psychological treatment and intensive intervention to stop this behaviour in it's tracks. Otherwise he'll do it again and again and again.
@@elliotjohnson9415 absolutely. Saying someone needs help isn’t saying “oh well they’ve got issues so it’s fine”… it’s far from that. Stalkers are far from sane, no one who’s okay mentally would do such a thing. They absolutely need help so that they can get the help they need to turn them into a better person.
I understand that offering psychological help to a stalker is out of the norm… but there’s definitely a reason why this is his pattern of behaviour. He definitely needs help so everyone is safe from this person in the future.

I raised my issue very sensitively and she would not and will not take no for an answer. I got smeared and coèrsed and it continues after over 2 years. From an aquaintance!! She's determined to regain control and this might go on forever.

Smart meters are not cool...luckily i was stalked BEFORE the meter was installed...so easy to hack in real time...open the fridge door and the motor turns on, your position transmitted.
Managing rejection is an art
As for the criminality of stalking, it should be taken much more seriously. These are disordered people and repeat offenders (prison THREE times for the same offence??!) should be kept away from the public whatever it takes
This is horrific for this young lady. 😢😢
RONNIE PICKERING
Lol I thought the same thing 😅
Ronnie Pickering is hot, a lot of women stalk him.
Who?
i agree with the comment to get a large dog -or two. Also karate lessons and self defense - this will help if she ever needs to defend herself. Going for indoor and outdoor security and camera so that there is video evidence if he tries to break in. so sorry for this woman's situation and appreciate her speaking up about this.
Such a shame that women have to take these measures to protect themselves
Trying Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing and/or Brazilian Jujitsu instead of Karate for this use case. You will send an attacker to the other realm. Great exercise, ood fun, sense of community and keep your brain learning new things. Martial arts is a treasure for all 👍🏼
All children should be taught self defense, it's more important than any sports, especially for women.
I wonder why they didnt sack him immediately.
Shouldn't be allowed to live within a certain amount of miles. Should have to change his job too. He shouldn't be working or living anywhere near her. Police should do something. They are leaving her out there as bait. At some point he may try to harm her.
Unless he threatened her then there isn't much they can do.
There is no strict laws , people are not scared anything.

In third-world countries, stalking often stops after a warning, as relatives of the victim may intervene and beat up the stalker. Your family, whether immediate or extended, will be there for you. That's why family is everything and doesn't stop with immediate family

Any normal man accepts the word No and moves on. Those normal men have to protect the women around them.
Not saying that this is the case here of course, which is obviously genuine, but it just shows you what can be the case.
