  • Women's Intuition is probably the most powerful Super-Power on the planet. But how does it work and why? It all begins and is executed by the brain. And Body Language Expert, Scott Rouse explains why in simple, easy-to-understand terms. How does Woman's Intuition compare to Man's Gut Feeling? He answers that as well. Scott's authentic and clear explanations will be your new first stop for all of your Body Language and Behavior questions.

Scott, I was involved with a psychopath when I was sixteen . Ended up taking my child, running away from him . Turned out he married my best friend . He murdered his daughter from that marriage. Eight months old. For many years we felt safe after he was put in a mental hospital. We moved on with our lives no more fear. Everything you've said is right on.my intuition warned me to get away from him .Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Could help save a life. ❤

It took me months maybe even a year or more to feel like myself- but I realize I am different now. Not as sharp. Less coordinated. And the weird thing is I feel I have split- there is two me’s. The me before and the me after the injury. For a long time i felt I was actually someone else completely. How is post traumatic stress like this? I’m genuinely curious about this! Thanks for making this video, Scott!! I had a really scary thing happen recently where I was out with my 2 young kids (3 yrs and 1 yr [you know my chubby son, Felix, haha]), I was about 10 min away from the house and a man started following me. I was visibly struggling holding both the kids because my daughter didn't want to walk, and this man came up asking if I needed help. I repeatedly had to tell him no because he wouldn't stop asking! I felt like I was the one being rude for not accepting help, I was literally gaslighting myself, telling myself "He just wants to help and I'm overreacting by freaking out." Then I could hear your voice in my head telling me, "Listen to your women's intuition and watch out for people who are overly friendly to the point it makes you uncomfortable."
He ended up walking ahead of me, which made me relieved, until I realized he was walking at a freaking snail's pace, and pretending to be on his phone (but the screen wasn't even on!) He kept turning around to look and then quickly looking back at his phone. Then he finally walked to the parking lot and waited beside his car. When he saw me he started asking if I needed a ride, where I live, if I'm walking home. Luckily there were two other men in the parking lot who were loading their truck and I could tell that they were keeping an eye on the situation, and I felt like the creepy guy wouldn't do anything right in front of two other men.
I kept walking and the creepy man jumped into his car and sped up beside me, rolled the window down and KEPT asking if I needed a ride! I said "No, I'm just calling my husband!" And finally that made him speed off! I immediately called my husband and he came to pick me up, but in the meantime I went back to talk to the men who were loading the truck. I ended up making friends with one guy, he asked if I was okay and said that I was welcome to stay near them until my husband arrived just in case the man came back. (and he did drive through and circle the parking lot) I ended up filing a police report because I really believe he was trying to find an opportunity to take one of my kids, which is just the most horrible thought. 😭
Anyways, sorry for being long-winded, I just want you to know that what you do really does make a difference in people's lives. I love hearing you talk about the neurological aspects to body language analysis, because it really helps me feel like my intuition is valid! You're just so amazing and I appreciate all the effort you put into teaching us, and the passion you have for this stuff 🥰

I think it's important to be in tune with your intuition / gut feeling and learn to listen to it instead of dismiss it as nonsense. In many situations, that intuition can actually give you insights and quickly help you avoid negative experiences in a way that your more "logical - rational" part of the mind may not.

Conversation even changes accordingly whether by topic or by tone. If they are being caught up on what was being discussed so they can join in, there will be a spin either omitting, adding, or misrepresenting. It will rarely be the same recap anyone else would have received and, I dare say, felt normal. Those people, too, exhibit real smiles in those moments. Kind of like a duper's delight they don't have to hide.

It's interesting and relevant and, yes, I find it hard to believe anyone could do the things these people do ... but clearly people do or it wouldn't be on the news. The speech thing with ptsd is very common. I has to do with your nervous system being overloaded for such a long time, and your body trying to keep you safe, it's forcing you to shut down. For the same reason you might get migraines, poor vision, fainting. It's anxiety without (sometimes) you even noticing. This can all be treated by getting help healing. They're all symptoms.

      @cherylbo888 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@ashleyhall5856 It's ofcourse very personal and depending on the details of your trauma. But in general the area's to cover are: 1. mindfulness (honest inventory of the impact the trauma has on your daily life). When you have ptsd your body makes acces amounts of cortisol. It's a stress hormone wich takes minimal of two weeks to leave your body. But when you have triggers and flashbacks your body doesn't get the change to break it off before you get a new "shot" of stress. So you need to help your body to get rit of as much of it. So understanding of this is key. This habit change creates a healthy lifestyle. Important area's: 1.Food: sugar and processed foods disregulate your hormones. So it adds to the already higher dose of chemicals your brain is trying to process. 2. Thoughts(what information do I allow to acces my mind) Do you watch a lot of news, gossip, conflict, negativity? Try to minimize and if possible, remove completely. 3.Movement(your body releases stress hormones when you exercise, even a daily 30min walk can do that as long as you hart rate goes up). 4. Writing, get your mind to slow down. You cant write as quickly as you can think. Also, get it out of your head and on the paper.
      5. Oxigen. Doing breathing exercises. Your brain uses oxigen to regulate hormones and almost everyone that suffers from trauma is not breathing right. We haven't learned to breathe right, but we can learn. 6. Sleep. Too little is bad for us, just as too much is bad. It's a battery. When your phone is dead you need to charge. But when it's charged and you keep it on charger, it damages the battery, wich makes it weaker until it doenst charge anymore. Find the best schedule for you and stick to it. No matter what. Set times for everything. It works, you just need to be patient. I highly recommend getting the books by dr. John Deloney; 1. Own your past, change your future. 2. Building a non-anxious life. Now in regards to Therapy: Try different things for different stages in your process. Don't be afraid to try and fail. It's part of it and all failure leads to knowledge. And knowledge is power. Trauma takes away your power. You are going to take it back. Get a journal and make your recovery a project. Write everything down. Your therapy, thoughts, every aspect. As if you are the student of your own university. Cognitive Therapy is a must. You can add to that other variants of trauma therapy. EMDR is very helpfull and there are different versions of it. If its not working it might be that it will later on. It is a process and yours is unique and it might take more than once. Do not give up and find the right therapist. I know it's hard. But you are worth it. One last thing: Only you can save you. When the trauma formed you couldn't handle it and nobody came in and saved you. But you are not there anymore. Now is NOW and now you CAN save YOU. Be patient, honest and please from today on, tell yourself, looking in the mirror with your fist on your heart, YOU LOVE YOU. Every day! Every day! At least do that if it's the only thing you can do in a day. Do it until you really mean it. Because I promise you, you can never love yourself too much. You can do this, I believe in you. ❤️

Zoom calls, it’s common courtesy in certain work places to raise a hand if you’d like to jump in. Some meeting moderators find out helpful to see who’s wanting to contribute and it minimizes people taking over each other, since it’s hard to see body language in the thumbnails to indicate that more than one person is about to talk.
As a moderator, I find that otherwise the same two or three talkers in a group of, say, 15 will inadvertently dominate the conversation. When folks raise their hand, I can make sure they also get a word in edgewise.

As someone who has studied photography and art I commend you. There were so many beautiful big trees behind you and you placed your chair right between two of them. A different placement could have given some of your viewers an uneasy feeling😊 ie if you had one of those big trees coming out of the top of your head or worse branches that look like horns.😂 Enjoyed the creative editing and your casual easy explanations. Thanks for answering my question! I think Julia Roberts, Maryl Streep, Cameron Diaz, and Whoopi Goldberg are actresses who always give a convincing Duchene smile. When it comes to dressing for court, lawyers should dress professionally and have their suits freshly dry-cleaned, but juries are not more likely to favor a lawyer in a $5,000 suit than one in a $400 suit, especially not in criminal trials. In fact, if a criminal defense attorney wears a $5,000 suit, jurors will often think the defendant must have tons of money and is trying to buy their way out of a problem with a slick lawyer. Lawyers who wear $5,000 suits do it to impress their clients and make it seem like their high fees are worthwhile. Non-lawyers should dress as best they can to show respect to the judge and jury. Suits are best, but modest dresses or sports jackets/blazers with ironed pants or a skirt (no denim!) are also acceptable. Men should wear a button-down shirt and a tie. Avoid sneakers or sandals if at all possible. If you don't have much money and need clothes for court, try going to a thrift store. If that doesn't work, Target, Walmart, and Ross sell basic professional clothing at low prices. EBay also sells used professional clothing for decent prices. The dress standards in court have fallen for non-lawyers in the past 20 years. I see many people wearing clothes that would have gotten them thrown in jail for contempt of court in the past. Show respect to the court if you want the court to respect you.

Ohhh... So, this explains why, when I was growing up, from preschool on, most girls shunned me, while I always got along with guys--but the exact opposite was true for my friend "J" who was shunned by males from preschool on, but always was friends with girls...
Turns out we were both trans, & our peers had instinctively recognized that we had the wrong bodies for our brains before we each turned 3 yrs old, & that's why we were both severely beaten, bullied & shunned by parents & peers from age 3-17+
Thank goodness we both transitioned later, & now neither of us freaks out the public by "acting like the opposite sex."
Amazing how prenatal hormone levels affect one's phenotype.
Additionally, xy infants born with AIS (androgen insensitivity syndrome) grow up with undeniably female brains, while xx infants born with CAH (congenital adrenal hyperplasia) tend to have masculine brains.

With regards to wearing a suit to court One Movie comes to mind, My Cousin Vinny (!) hehee Mr Gambini is asked by the judge to "dress appropriately" and "loyally" with a suit and tie since, as said in the move, he's not just insulting the judge with his wrong clothing choice but also the "integrity of the court" hehee Woman's Intuition works extra when we have to walk home alone in the dark with heightened senses where if it was a man walking along he would prob have almost no worries about his night walk unless it's a 'shady' neighborhood of course. As an example if you had 2 friends, one male + one female standing together chatting in the night time the female would have instincts to take "flight" immediately when seeing someone approaching but the male could be like oh it's fine you're with me nothing will happen I will protect you, while a woman's brain could be thinking umm not going to rely on you to protect me I'm outta here.

I'm so glad I'm not crazy. My partner of 7 years thinks I assume, see signs and gestures, then jump to conclusions without knowing, and he says it's all in my head. I'm usually right at the end of the day, but it takes time for him to see, and in the end, he forgets I told him, or he does not like to accept the truth. He thinks about everything in a simple way. If it is important, I ask him to mark my words; if not, I won't care and will let him believe whatever he thinks of my assumptions.
And it is not like I don't know much about it. I feel like I do. I'm always interested in body language. I bought my first book over 20 years ago and have always read about it from a psychological and neurological point of view, using my woman's intuition and all the different angles you can think of anyway.
