Got the 12" summer in the city. Bought it from an actual independent record shop. Played it for the whole of the summer of 83. Just played it on my stereo and still sound the mutts. Thanks for the memories
Tim Dry superb stuff. I got your single on white label from Ann-Marie?) at Drinking Electricity and played it to death at Faces, Birmingham. Then, when you released Dynamo Beat you came and visited and did a "PA"... remember at all? :-) DJ Alan Gibson, at Faces ...
I remember being in a bar called Coconut Grove and you gentlemen doing all kinds of robotics behind me. Was too afraid to look behind as other patrons laughing. We met and had a chat afterwards. Great memory from maybe 30 years ago or more. Best to you guys from Jakarta.
With older siblings, I grew up with The Lovin' Spoonful version - and then, this filtered into my 14 year old ears. Loved it: wore out the grooves of the 7" 😁
I absolutely loved your music and your dancing. We were talking about you at a bbq at the weekend to, thanks for a lot of good memories. Regards Simon .
I saw u supporting Gary Numan , thought u were fab (still do) then I met u in The Brunnel Rooms, in Swindon, where my cousin and his friend used to do robotic dancing, not sure you'll remember them? But u gave them a lot of your time that night and it was one of my best memories from the early 80's, so thank u...😊
I think I was there that night in Brunel rooms 😀 damn that revolving floor 😂 put your pint 🍺 down and 15 minutes later it came back round to you if it hadn’t been nicked.
Never! lol, your music was way ahead of it's time and still is today. Modern "electropop" groups can only to be as good. Intolerance was a brilliant album, just a shame I had to sell it and all my record collection .
I have all your early stuff on 12", 7" picture discs, Album versions, some prom stuff as well.Saw you with Numan way back.Fantastic stuff.Still love it to this day.

Produced by Peter Godwin. Played by RRussell Bell.
@andy morris I didn't even know who Peter Godwin was till today. Written for many people.
He was in a band called Metro, which never registered. He wrote Criminal World which was covered by Bowie, and songs for a host of others.
What a masterpiece of a song!
A work of genius
A great song. I know the song only of joe cocker??
The Lovin' Spoonful did the original in 1966. BB King did a more bluesy version sometime back too.
Great song - especially like the 12 inch version
This is the 12"!
Is there a single version anywhere?
@@CraigNiel Try Discogs.
Just to say - I didn't post this. If I had I would have done a full quality MP3, this is a bit lacking but still sounds ok...

The single came out in '82, we toured with Numan in '83.

Yes and RRussell Bell from Gary Numan's band played nearly all the instrumentation.
