I had that CD back in the day. I specifically remember loving the guitar work (it really made that record) and looking in the liner notes to see who that great guitarist was - some guy names Shawn Tubbs. Never heard of him before, but never forgot the name. Some 20 years later, He's got a great TH-cam presence and turns out He's a really cool guy to boot!

The fact that a younger Shawn, is inducing all these facial expressions from an older, Shawn, listening to a younger, Shawn, is PRICELESS!! If that makes any sense 😂

Got into Vineyard CDs in the late 1990’s and 2000 era. Saw Shawn Tubbs on guitar in the liner notes. Always love to find his playing! Glenn Pierce and Shawn Tubbs. Two amazing guitarists that played on many of my favorite albums.
Thanks for the insight on this video. Great stuff! 👏

Man, those CL records have got some of the best guitar arrangements on them I've ever heard. Some truly great and original sounds from that era, Shawn- I remember hearing some live stuff you did with Crystal using (what I think was) an old Prescription Electronics Experience pedal and a whammy pedal. Absolutely killer!

You sound amazing if you were playing through an old Silvertone amp. The tone is in your hands Brother. People always say I sound like me no matter what amp rig I use. Nice compliment for me, with a player like you it’s a no brainer. I thought the Boss sounded great. Just seemed more gainy than you play now. I listen to me in my 30’s using my Mesa Triaxis to now playing much cleaner into one of my tube heads I here the same thing. Nothing bad, just taste has changed along with my gear. I need one of your Tilt OD pedals since I use pedals into a clean channel or a single channel head these days. Love that tone. Been using the Friedman BE Deluxe 2 channel pedal for the past year. Great pedal but I like the Tilt with its transparency.

Great tune Shawn and killer playing as always. Your playing is so inspiring. Just curious what gear you used on the session? Also, Shawn would you be willing to do a video on acoustic guitar? Dude you also have killer chops, touch and feel on acoustic guitar. It would be great to see and hear your approach on acoustic, especially your approach to acoustic session work. Thanks again Shawn, stay well.

    • @ShawnTubbs
