Cheers - thanks for the nice choice of musical background - jazz and subtle - not electronic dance music... nice doc!

It’s often claimed, and not disputed much, that in 1927, the Knickerbocker Hotel was Al Capone’s favorite haunt, and may still be today. Bolstered by sightings of Al in the wee small hours, and that on the Penthouse floor, back in the day, Al’s brother Ralphy operated a speakeasy/casino.

Could anyone tell me where Dan Breen ran a Speakeasy in 1920s?

I will tell you one thing about the Lords. It’s a suckers drink. You’ll never notice too many locals drinking it. It’s just something to give to the tourist to say welcome to Chicago. I lived in Chicago for over 40 years and I hung out not really interesting bars you know dives similar to Simons in the green door no local would touch that stuff.

Andersonville is not a suburb on the outskirts of the city. It’s a neighborhood within the City of Chicago.
