I was in finance for decades. A pen was my tool of the trade. I used the Cross Ion, and the fisher space pen. I preferred the space pen for the refills(Canadian weather alone) - and the convenience of having the bullet in my pocket at all times... But I did not enjoy using it. I prefer a zebra 701 with a space pen refill - and make space in the pocket so I save the cramps while writing, and beyond.
Hi! Can you tell me if that gorgeous little pen's refills are the same size as the Lamy M22 refill? (Also, I reckon you could stick a small circular magnet on the top - that would be very handy!) Super review, and many thanks. 🌻
Thanks! I won't fit directly, but if you have access to a 3D printer you can print this adapter and it will work: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4592224
I wish I could have gotten the black one and the orange one. I have the purple and a few OD green ones. I love this little pen. I carry it either in my pocket or on my Leatherman sheath. I also have one in my EDC pouch that I carry in a backpack, that has a few tools and first aid stuff. I hope they come out with a lime green and a blue Open Mini. I have the same color Victorinox Rambler on a locking carabiner, with a OD Green IXV keychain olight and I put it on my belt lupe. I have a blue set of the Victorinox Rambler and blue IR2 Pro on another locking carabiner for a different color. I normally wear the blue for casual carry and the green for work.
I thought for sure that brass cap on the top was going to have some sort of practical function. I was very confused at first.
gonna get the adapter so I can use space pen refills in the o light
ADAPTOR?
I’m going to look that up.
First thing I did when I got this pen was check if the Fisher would work.
I was bummed when it wouldn’t.
👍🏽
Aaahhh
It’s the D1 adaptor.
I saw that already. I thought it was for the PR4 refill.
I believe the Schmidt 8126 Mini will work also.
Thanks for amazing review.
Hello, I am cuorious about refill cartridges for mini.
Can I use third party ones, are there some to find on ebay, or I need to order Olight ones?
Thank you
I’ve just used the Olight, but I believe the Schmidt 8126 mini refill also works (one user said they run out quickly).
At first I thought you were serious. Then I realized you were just being sarcastic. Look forward to your review of #2 pencils.
Oh no, it was a serious review. But I can see why I might be taken as if I'm kidding. And I actually have a couple of #2 pencils worthy of review. 🤣 A couple of the jokes I put it were photo based, and I don't know what happened, but they aren't in the uploaded video even though they are in final Lumavision file and should have been in the uploaded render. Very odd. They were a NYDEC game warden with a hunter decked in orange and an HTC M8 I lost while hunting that, when found, had wild boar snot and a nose print on the screen (when I said, "Sometimes I lose things.")
No skipping at the beginning of writing. That's nice.
is it water resist?
The pen or the ink? The pen should be quite water resistant, and the ink is ballpoint, which usually performs well, too.
@@JG3Reviews pen itself. Is it water resist/sweat resist? Because i always carry a pen tucked on my underwear. I once had a zebra pen and it sort of fades because of my sweat.
Nifty little inexpensive writer . Orange 🍊 sounds good.
I am glad you are reviewing a ballpoint pen, James. This is quite interesting and a nice resin. It is great that it uses standard Parker style refills. It is certainly worth considering.
