For this week's video we basically have some brave Nijisanji boys "reacting to Creepy Pastas"
Today I learnt that one of the four end card elements has to be a video or a playlist. I was planning on putting Kanae, Touya, Kagami and Yumeo's channels, but ended up having to leave out Kanae's as well in order to add a video. I chose another clip of Kuzuha telling a scary story. I'll plan ahead better next time 🙇♂️

I said in the video I would leave the stories as separate comments, but it felt cluttered when I did that, so I'll leave them in one, long comment instead (not this one).
🔫 01:28: I localised the hell out of this part. The main complication of this story is in what the helper says to the narrator. The story writes what the helper says in Katakana, without Kanji or Hiragana, which makes it a little difficult to decipher the true meaning. Here’s an explanation as to why.
The helper says:
サッキ、マドガ、アイテシマッタオトガ、シマシタケレド
サッキ、マドガ、
(in kanji: さっき、窓が、)
This first part is saying “Just a moment ago, the window…”
アイテシマッタ
This next part is where it becomes tricky. It is read Aiteshimatta, which can be interpreted as:
- 空いてしまった, which means “to open without having intended it to open” (WRONG interpretation/ how Yumeo interpreted it)
AND
- 空いて閉まった which means “Opened and then closed” (CORRECT interpretation)
オトガ、シマシタケレド
(In kanji: 音が、しましたけれど）
The last part simply means “I heard the noise of…”
Therefore, the helper was trying to say “Just then, I heard the sound of a window opening and closing.” However, both phrases sound the exact same and since there are no kanji to supplement the meaning, this is a little bit difficult to understand.
English doesn’t have this problem since it doesn’t have characters that hold meaning or characters that represent words. So in order to create a similar effect where a sentence could have two meanings using similar words, I (using broken English) wrote:
“Just now, it sound like the window open close to me.” In which “window open close” could mean “the window opened nearby.” or “the window opened, and then closed.”
🔫05:25: Abandoned child is 捨て子, read “su-te-go”, Kanae made a pun with the word Stegosaurus
⚔️05:30: What Touya is supposed to say is 実の子 (their own/ real child), pronounced "jitsu-no-ko." However, the first kanji can also be read as “Mi”, which is how Touya initially reads it (mi-no-ko). This is why Yumeo makes fun of Touya, saying he doesn’t know how to read a Grade 3 level kanji despite Touya being a highschool student.
🔫 10:23: Referring to FermiLab, a channel that makes manga-dub-ish videos. Specifically referencing their “The Truth of a Ground Worker” video (also about a delivery person).

Kagami (CEO): Don't forget stuff. (I find this the most scary tbh).
Kuzuha: Don't talk to strangers. If really needed, make sure to be safe.

The scoundrels who were stealing were “The old man and the old lady.”
The two were poor and stole in order to support Momotaro.
The thieves didn’t show up when Momotaro started patrolling the village because they didn’t want their Son seeing them doing something so shameful.
The reason no thefts occured after Momotaro was executed was because Momotaro was dead. They did not need to steal anymore.

I participated in a game that gives you 5 Trillion Yen if you won it.
I needed money, no matterthe cost.
At the meeting place, I found 10 people inlcuding myself.
It was a shady-looking underground facility.
And then, a robotic voice played out through the speaker.
--If you are to kill everyone present in this facility, you will be offered 5 trillion yen.
The people around me looked baffled. But I wasn’t.
I promptly steeled my resolve.
Beat to death.
Strangle to death.
Assassinate.
Outright murder.
Stab to death.
Poison.
Blow up.
Burn to death.
Behead.
I’d kill using all methods.
I prepared myself to do so...!
I’m sure I killed all 9 of them!
So why is it I can only hear:
“--Kill one more person, 5 trillion yen will--”
Coming from the speaker!
I killed them! I made sure! Every single one of them!

One time, I delivered a package to a 20-storey building.
The destination was a room on the 19th floor. Of course, using the stairs would be exhausting, so I opted for the elevator.
There were 2 elevators, but one of them was under repair and couldn’t be used. I got into the second one.
The resident of the room was a pretty lady, who had a lithe, graceful aura to her.
“Well, she is a very beautiful woman” I thought.
I was so nervous that I forgot to take back the ballpoint pen I gave her when I asked her to sign the receipt (a signature to confirm delivery).
And then, as I got off the elevator and headed straight for the truck, I heard a voice call out from behind me.
“You forgot this~!”
She said. It was the voice of the woman I had just delivered the package to. In her hand was the ballpoint pen.
I thanked her and gladly took the pen back. However...
