I know what you mean Alex. Car boots are hard to get things and there is sometimes politics and hard feelings from the other dealers/resellers when you do pick up something good. A lot of competition and it means getting up extra early and queuing up to have a chance to get something or waiting around until later that morning because some one time sellers won’t get up so early and they are sometimes the best ones because they are just clearing out and will give good deals.

@@CantStopSwamp mmm Thrift stores in the UK is nothing like in the States. We have visited the States many times, in fact our son lives in Dublin Ohio, out thrift stores are about the size of a small 7.11, yours can be as big as a Krogers. There are a couple of bigger ones but the prices can be as high as eBay. Its really tough to get stock over here to resell. the car boots here are just full of hundreds and hundreds of buyers so the pickings are really thin. We end up using Marketplace and local auction houses to get things to flip. Thin pickings indeed. Oh, AND we do not have such a thing as estate sales over here either.

I really respect how humble you are & never low ball. Found some other reseller on here recently & wow personality plays a huge role let me tell you. This guy pretty well known on here.. low balls & is sometimes rude about it.. someone said $10 bucks, he said “heres $9 so that I feel I got a good deal” when he was paying like DIDNT even offer $9 he just handed it & of course the seller didn’t really have time to react so just took the $9... I know it’s just $1 but that shows a lot.

I think my favorite thing about the new set up is one handed godzilla constantly keeping watch and giving his lizardly blessing to all the dealings and comps.

I had a colleague who had a used lunch box collection, I mean hundreds of them. I wish I could remember which ones I had as a kid. Would love to see them. I still can smell the box with it's scent of hundreds of sandwiches and the thermos' of milk. Thank you for the memories.

Man I miss my binder I had back in the day unfortunately my dad lost it when he lost his house 😔 my birthday is next Saturday it’s a dream of mine to find a small binder like this to re start my collection! One day because being a home owner that comes with a lot of responsibilities so cards are on pause. For now great finds! I hope to meet you one day

The Decemberists record will be worth good money, fantastic band, fantastic album, great find sir.
saw alex harvey band live at earls court in 1973,they were the support band for"Slade" i was 17,great concert,after all this time i still love slade.

I love stuff like this with the context of how you made the connection because when the inevitable debate with some folks commenting on vids posted by flippers & say it hurts to show rough estimates of what you make at yard sales, I like to refer them directly to you to see why it's not a bad decision. I know you're a rare bird and most aren't like you...Frog, my sincerest apologies. One of the main reasons if not the exact reason why I put your channel at the top of my personal favorites list is because of the way you'll pay those extra $$ to build the relationship. I'm not saying the guys who try to find a way to pay 20, $40 etc less are doing things wrong I'm just saying in my personal opinion the potential upside of paying 20, $40 more especially when the dollar amount you would have said had you made an offer was higher than the person ended up asking for which I'm sure happens quite often with you. And I say that because generally your offers are at least as high as and in many cases much higher than most people who post their videos on here. When you start taking care of people like that you're going to do it with people who can come back with more stuff for sale. And then there are all of the folks who see that you do things the right way so who's going to be one of the first people they reach out to if they're east of the Mississippi? Cincinnati Picker would definitely be a guy I would look to because he I would say can overpay for things almost for my taste but another guy who goes above and beyond to make sure the seller looks back on it as positively as they can. But most folks aren't like you guys at all. If I was trying to sell a bunch of stuff and didn't want to take my time to piece it out and it was 90% toys and pop culture stuff especially from the '80s and '90s you would be the first person I would contact and 1 of only 2 people along with CP that I would recommend to other people that I know. And again not that there's anything wrong with some of the other people who do things with getting the best deal possible in mind at the top of their list it's just a difference of styles. I don't think I'm unique in how I look at it either but I could be wrong. It's been really cool to watch you and the channel grow the how many ever years that I've been watching and no doubt I'll be going back at some point and watch from the very beginning. Interested to see how the show has evolved from where it started. But before I wrap it up I just got to say keep on doing what it is you have been because it's working. And there's no coincidence that people like that reach out but the funny thing is as much of a deal as the one for a G was if the invite was given to some other people that I watch there would have been a counter offer. Which again that's your right to do business however you want but agreeing with no negotiations that others might feel was bad negotiating I just think of the person/more likely people he sends your way in the years to come. He's a young guy and someone else he knows is going to have some similar stuff to sell in the future and guess who he's going to recommend? And then there's of course the tens of thousands of people watching this who can always recommend you as well that really shows why operating more in the manner you do makes a hell of a lot more sense in my humble opinion

some of this stuff you find makes me relive my childhood. I have been trying to go around to some yard sales in my area and none of them have much to get. kind of sad.......
i dont know if anybody has said this or not but with holo foil cards sleeve them up before putting them into a binder as it does a lot to help preserve the foil itself in general especially in shipping

Love you vids, have been watching now a few months. One recommendation I have is to release some compilation videos (Top 10 Biggest Gambles, Best Antiques, Etc....). You have a great back catalog and I think they would crush views. Even if you hired an editor to put one together a week. Keep crushing brother!

I found the tiger eye version of that Decemberists vinyl in a charity shop here in Wales for £2. I gave them £10. Very happy

Depending on condition, those pokemon Fossil holos from Wizards of the coast are worth a good bit. You could send them to get graded by PSA for I think $15-$18 per card if they are in decent condition (no bends, creases or dents) I'm sure they have holo scratches and whitening on the back edges but if you can get a PSA 7 - PSA 9 You can make some money for sure. Anyways nice pick ups today for sure 👍

It's always interesting to watch other people go through Vinyl LP's and see what they get and what they leave behind. When you watch seasoned flippers you see what's actually worth good money and the time/effort. I would've passed right over that "The Decemberists" album, thinking it was some obscure 1970's crap.
Often with Vinyl the most "classic" and "recognizable" and "popular" albums aren't worth anything because they printed gazillions of them. Whereas the obscure stuff they only printed a few of are where the money is at.
For example that Foreigner Head Games album is a classic. Good band, good tracks, not bad cover art... But as far as value goes they're so common that they're near worthless. It's not a special remastered version or anything and worth about $3-5. Whenever looking through vinyl I'm always tempted to rack up all the classic albums like that, but often they're just not worth flipping. Good to put in the collection for cheap and if in good shape tho.
Would love to see all the footage of you going through everything in the first sale. Dang music, Straight ASMR.
I had the full original Pokémon set, all except blastoise, in the late 90’s and mostly in perfect condition in a binder. I’m pretty sure my aunt threw them out or gave them away when my grandparents passed away. Crazy
