I was at my first Boomtown this year (2024)- as an old man- my knee is still fecked, but it was awesome! The creativity and wildness is off the charts as is the staging and lighting- though I feel some of the kids may still be feeling the after effects to this day from their excesses. The two older women are awesome, and I've found that being an older person at something like Boomtown some kids ask my age and are happy to see that it's possible to still party, albeit with a bit more moderation.
Boomtown is for all ❤ I've been every year since 2017, and each year, it becomes more and more like one big family

@@Morf I'm in the industry myself and it's crazy the amount of bigger channels that don't have 1) a nice mic like the rode go for chatting with folk and 2) a camera person it increases content quality by orders of magnitude. Definitely will stick around for future content. Good luck with the channel

I loved this stuff in my late teens and early 20s, a couple of minutes of this was enough to remind me why I left this lifestyle way in the past

@@Morf tried a few smaller festivals years ago like secret garden party. can't tell you how uncomfortable it made me feel. but people seem to love them.
That's totally fair, hopefully there's a festival out there for you somewhere more suited to what makes you happy :)

There’s no place on this earth like Boomtown. It’s called a festival but it’s more like a living theatre and you’re part of it. It’s a crazy immersive world didn’t have any issues whatsoever and it sounded incredible. #banggoesnormal

404 security was sketchy as, lot of performance didn't get paid or fed, queer acts assaulted back and on stage, barstaff treated like slaves..
I absolutely love boomtown. It has its own story every year which is un matched. The spiral tribe crew know how to throw a party! My favourite memory is running an impromptu blind date and the couple we set up were still together the following year! No word of a wedding but still unbelievable. I have the video footage too 😂 incredible place and love the video! BTW morf your AMAZING! love your content. Love ❤️

2024 was the year it went corporate. Atmosphere was anxious, tense and greedy. No longer the vibe there used to be.

Morf's interview style reminds me of Devina McCall; slightly phoney, but in the most respectful way, like an Anthropologist attending a freak show. This festival looks like great fun, admittedly I find a lot of the people here annoying, but they seem harmless and out to be different and to let loose, which is what true festivals should be.

Tbf boomtown has gotten weirdly chavvy in the last few years but it's still chill as fuck. Ain't got kids there throwing piss bottles around like at reading and I've never seen a fight or anything. But yeah the people are weird as fuck in the best way 😂
Also the actors that go around and give you weird ass side missions to do are fun as fuck 😂 I haven't been since Covid so I don't know if it's as big and still has all the small secret hidden stages and party's but that was the funnest part for me

Youngsters in their huddle groups barging up to the front, completely ignoring those pushed out the way and stood in front of, then staring at eachother or their phones while barely moving right up in the middle front of dancefloors...wtf!? Half the time they look petrified about looking at anybody but eachother; acknowledgement, engagement, interaction enjoyment of any one else around even the dj doesn't seem to cross their minds. No feedback or cheers to the djs or other groups/dancers around, just disconnect.....as if the music is just a background feature...
I have seen this at some other events but never so glaringly often as the last 4 days. So so sad. Is this what the Rave scene is becoming? Kids too scared to engage or not even knowing how or why? Is it the smartphone effect/ the covid anxiety side effect/ ket? Sure there were other areas where proper interaction was in full effect but, plenty arenas like Hidden Woods, Origin, Acid Leak, etc etc etc where fractures and vibe breakdown was occurring."
