    Required tools-
    PH000
    Metal Razor Blade

    Playing Card
    Some Heat
    Patience.

Great video! Swapped the screen out for a friend. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is it felt like I couldn't get the screen to sit all the way flush inside the frame. Hopefully when the glue dries all is well.
Used E6000 as I didn't have any B7000 or T7000. Will know tomorrow if it turned out alright.
Ohhh, side note. Tea tree oil works great for breaking down the old adhesive on the glass back. Just make sure you use rubbing alcohol to clean up the tea tree oil afterwards.

How can I know if the battery is original or not?
I replaced the screen and when I received the device, I noticed that the battery charge ended quickly, and I started to susk that he had replaced it.

I got my 7T for £280 and now I have to fork out £170 just for a screen replacement.
It's an absolute joke. Also, they seriously need to start making it easier to extract data (photos /videos) from phones with damaged screens.
I have about 8,000 photos of my kids that I'll probably never get back now!!

    • @HaemonAK
      @HaemonAK 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That is if you buy and official screen. I bought a good quality one for $74 USD off of ebay.
The issue with getting photos off of phones without actual access is a security thing. You can infact give yourself a backdoor so to speak into your android device by enabling ADB (android debug bridge) which allows you to send all sorts of commands to the device and access it even if locked over USB. The issue of course is if you lost your phone and someone else picked it up and knew to check, they could access it too.
Any sort of backdoor option they add from factory, is a potential exploit waiting to happen.

    • @RealWorldReview

I would rather allow that than never access my info lol.

I think that is important for you to mention the consequences of using other types of glues and talk about how delicate the process needs to be and how easy the screen can be broken if is not being put properly. Also, you can mention the type of mistakes that will put your phone to risk. I will give the video 3/10. The importance is the security overall.

Strange conclusion to come to in regards to a screen that broke with the factory adhesive.
