I bought four containers....sight unseen. One friend had a friend who was selling.....another friend needed them....I got in the middle. Turns out they were all rusted out from salt storage. I am now the proud owner of very vented sea containers. No good deed goes unpunished. I ended up putting them to use for appliance & spare tire storage. Gave me some content for videos. "No need to be all salty over a good idea that had holes in it" tHanks for the videos
nice setup. Good north american salt is hard to find now . We are getting the same colored salt , pretty sure its from overseas. Has more moisture content in it than us salt. Seems to have a trace of sand in it as well. Careful with how long it sits in the hopper in very cold temps.
Awesome Video. We are looking to do the same concept on site for our salt management service. Two questions: 1. When you paint the container, what type of paint sprayer do you use and what type of paint is best to use? 2. What do you have on the floor of the container? I would assume it is wood, but over time could it wear down from scraping the bucket to pick up the salt?
Have you changed your salt storage solution?
If you’re still using containers for salt bite the bullet and have a slinger truck to deliver the salt and have him throw it inside. That’s what we do
What size is this container? They have 20, 40, foot standard and a high cube that taller? Great idea for my backup pile

Did you operate in the winter of 2020, offering these services?

We are looking at doing the same thing but I was looking at buying a belt conveyor to load it we use iceslicer in Denver
They make high cube shipping containers which would give you an additional foot inside height. Makes a big difference in stacking

What about a slinger truck to sling it into there?
