"I didn't mean for that to happen!" More real life cooking! 😆 I love it when you leave these gaffes in, a lot of people would edit them out. It's real life.
I am really enjoying your TH-cam. U2 started as real folks showing stuff to real folks. Your episodes make it relatable and inspiring. A breath of fresh air.
I absolutely love this dish. I just added it to my meal plan. I came across your channel around 7:00 pm today, and I have been binge watching ever since... it's now 1:48 a.m. all the recipes are wonderful, and I'm still watching lolol. Thank you for the great videos.
So happy I found this video. Our green beans are coming in by the bucket fulls. I usually cook them in the instant pot with a smoked turkey neck and some seasonings. I also freeze and can them. But it's nice to have some other ways to fix them. I am trying this tomorrow.
Woke up at 2 am UK time. One Hot Chocolate later and watching Kevin cooking this very interesting and easy looking Dish is helping me to get back to sleep.....Also pondering that young Kevin is probably just about to go bed now as it's 4 am in the UK. Thank you Kevin for this easy demonstration, which I will try. I am trying reduce cholesterol, so this is a very useful tip on a healthier alternative to roue. I am now able to blow out the candle and go back to sleep as Kevin has soothed me back to a slumber just before the 'Dawn Chorus' in Poole, Dorset UK time. Thank you Kevin. We love 😍 you! 🤗
What a fairly simple but yummie casserole! I love your presentations because they all look so tasty but you make them seem easy. I am so inspired to try them. Thanks for making home cooking so approachable.😊 Can’t wait to hear more about Binky.
I'm Violet, l love everything you cook l didn't know how important it was to like your post until my daughter explained it to me. I'm sixty five and don't text much😢😂
All gratin dishes are a pleasure to me but hadn't thought of green beans. My favourite is macaroni and broccoli with a really intense sauce made with extra mature cheddar topped with slices of tomato around the edge which are dabbled with pesto; in this case I don't add breadcrumbs as the tomato tends to make them soggy. I also like a celery gratin - just boil the celery in salted water till soft, make a roux and add some of the celery water to the milk, having added any extra flavouring you fancy. Ham would be a nice addition. You do such sensible recipes. I know that sounds like rather faint praise but it's true quite a few cookery writers offer up really silly ones!
Another delicious green bean recipe are the sort of crispy green beans. Battered and baked. I'm making this. Binge watching your series. Whenever I need a tune out, I tune in to Kevin's house
Thank you, Mr. Kevin! I think this will be a great side dish for a holiday or a special celebration meal. Thank you for creating it and showing us how to make it, especially the choice of using a flour-based or cornstarch-based sauce Mornay. You make the best videos EVER! Keep up the great work and please do more cooking videos! Take care and be safe! 🥂 Bon Appetit!!😋
I saw you erect this arch and I want to copy this for my kitchen garden. I have raised beds like you as the soil in this part of Nova Scotia Canada is rocky. We mulch leaves in it in the fall and of course add bone meal and composted materials each year.
I planted asparagus beans this year on a cattle panel hoop. More beans than I can eat and I love the flavor and texture. Some of them are going into a dish like yours very soon. It does take a while for them to get tender.
Looks crazy delicious. I don’t eat meat but will try this without. Love the way the Swiss cheese melted like butter. Love the pole beans, definitely putting on my grow list! May be too late in the season.
How's Binky? I looked back at her introduction video and saw she graduated to baby food. I hope she's doing well. The gratin looks wonderful. I didn't plant many this year, but should have a few to harvest. My figs are coming in so I've been making some preserves.
I am going to have this for dinner tonight too. I so didn’t want chicken again. This is the perfect time for this dish as I luckily have many beans. I freeze them for winter use. How are your butternut squash doing on the cattle panels? Thank you for all of your ideas.
That dish looks delicious and pretty hearty. I have to ask, how is Binky doing? I think there’s a few of us animal lovers that would like to hear an update. Hopefully she’s doing ok. As always keep up the great content.
Why is it required for you to promote the like button and the subscribe as well. I ask because lately. ALL the u tube channels have been doing so every single time....I was wondering if it is a requirement mandated by u tube ?

Enjoyed this video in Jan 2021. Was happy to find one that I had not seen to date. Enjoy planing the next garden. God bless.
We use Gruyère cheese and brussels sprouts to do a similar gratin, but this green bean with Swiss cheese looks fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
Looks very good. Fresh green beans take any dish to the next level.
This is a new “slant” to one of my favorite dishes. 😀. I’m tried of the same ‘ole, same ‘ole. Can’t wait to try yours. Blessings, Kevin. Many thanks.

Perfect for thanksgiving side!

Sounds great. So glad you are enjoying the swordfish recipe!
Your so lucky to have a garden and fresh veggies! this looks so good.
I planted asparagus beans this year on a cattle panel hoop. More beans than I can eat and I love the flavor and texture. Some of them are going into a dish like yours very soon. It does take a while for them to get tender.
Will definitely try!!👍

Very enjoyable, thank you. I’m having this for dinner !!
Hi from Melbourne Australia.
Kevin do you have any video of your wedding? I keep being reminded of it as I see your wedding ring flash in your videos!
Fricks is the very best ham out there! I eat no other ham.
Yum. 😋

Update on Binky coming soon...
It truly looks delicious
Mix the bread crumbs with melted butter then spread over the casserole!
I am going to have this for dinner tonight too. I so didn’t want chicken again. This is the perfect time for this dish as I luckily have many beans. I freeze them for winter use. How are your butternut squash doing on the cattle panels? Thank you for all of your ideas.
Looks yummy! I wish I could just print off the recipe.
Hi Susan - The printable recipe will appear on my website (www.kevinleejacobs.com) this weekend.
@@kevinleejacobs1364 thanks Kev. I love your recipes.
Kevin, will frozen beans from the store be ok to use? Also, will this freeze?
Ps. I braided the puff pastry like you did. Put sugar on top of apple puff pastry.
I selected to grow they were very stringy and for that reason I decided not to plant pole beans again, wear your pole beans not stringy?
I've read that certain pole beans can be stringy. The 'Emerite' variety that I planted is not stringy at all.
It's a nutmeg grater.

Maybe finish your back splash instead of painting the cupboards. See how you feel once the backsplash is done.
Great recipe for Thanksgiving! Perhaps Smoked Turkey instead of ham for day after? Also, how’s Binky doing?
Update on Binky soon...
whole milk, 1% or 2%?
Hi Patricia - I used whole milk.
Looks Delish..!
That dish looks delicious and pretty hearty. I have to ask, how is Binky doing? I think there’s a few of us animal lovers that would like to hear an update. Hopefully she’s doing ok. As always keep up the great content.
Thanks for asking. Binky is doing better now, after her second visit to the vet. Update video coming soon...

Whoops, I’m a vegan.
