Back in 2018, a friend (Aboagye, VVU) gave me many numbers to contact regarding getting more hands to help and join my team as I aspired to be the General Secretary of the University Nursing Students Association of Ghana.
Among these numbers was Eric's.
I reached out to him, knowing how influential he is, and told him I needed his support to win my election. Unfortunately, he wasn't much help 😏.
To fast-track our story, he let me know he had completed school and was back in England. With this, I said thank you and completely forgot about him because I felt he wouldn’t be of much use to me anyway.
Besides, I thought that since he was from the University of Ghana, Legon, he would favor a candidate from his school over me, as I was from KNUST.
A couple of months later, in 2019, he commented on my WhatsApp post, and I commented back on his. We started chatting friendly and thought, "This is interesting."
We spoke every day until he asked me to be his girlfriend. Being the hard girl that I am, I said, "Nope, I’m not dating anyone I haven't met in person yet. Come see me if you're serious about this."
And he did!
We had a long-distance relationship from 2019, but I moved permanently to the UK after graduating.
Today, we are here, married
