As my dear husband lay dying, I played some of his favorite music, holding his hand and talking to him. I fell asleep, but woke up at 2:00 am, I knew he was leaving. Ah, Gina, thanks for describing your wonderful relationship. Being apart is so hard when you truly love one another. Yet your memories, and hope for heaven are something to sustain you in the meantime. This beautiful and so comforting to me. As I've always done things from my heart as all should. It's from our hearts that moves us. The central place and alignment of God's love. To me is so amazing and beautiful.
If it is true what you are saying around 14:00 then we can't have a free will because we can't make a decision on how we want to have our life, but God is pushing us into his plan of how our life should look like, if we want it or not. That's completely opposite of any free will.
Empatheo, here's how I have come to understand Swedenborg's explanation of free will. Allow me to ramble for a bit or feel free to skip to the episode links at the end... (= God created us to live in the physical world, apparently from our own understanding and ability - with the freedom to use our physical and mental abilities to create whatever life we want. There are infinite possibilities in our experience, infinite paths and opportunities for us to take. But at the core of it all, we have only two options - happiness from selfless, altruistic love and faith - or misery from selfish love, fear, and obsession. Happiness, or misery. Two options. Our free will is our ability to choose between these options, and over a lifetime of being, develop a clear preference. If we choose selfish love, it means we care nothing for the needs or lives of others in comparison to our own needs. We live from a point of view that everything is a competition, that things are scarce, and that we are the only ones that really matter - everyone else is a means to an end, or a threat. Connection is not possible. This manifests in infinite ways, some of them much darker than others, but it's always about the addiction or rush of putting ourselves first. If we choose selfless love, it means that by definition, we believe that there is something greater than us as individuals. We believe in a "whole," or a higher power, or something, that connects all people and all of creation. We believe that our actions have consequences and influence the whole of creation, and that we are capable of using that influence to spread more happiness and more love for each other. We cannot have selfless love unless we comprehend something outside of ourselves, something bigger and worthy enough that we devote ourselves to it primarily and love our own selves as part of that greater love. That's essentially what faith IS, in simplest terms (as I understand it). Devotion to something greater - believing that something is true, and from that, a will to improve, beautify, create, love, help, care for, etc. So in a sense, yes, is it really freedom if, in order to be free, we have to put ourselves below something? We have to submit to something more powerful? It feels a little manipulative, doesn't it? And yet, that's just our human understanding of something much bigger than human understanding! When I was a kid, if I did something good, my parents didn't just respond with praise - they'd offer me more freedom. They'd know I was ready for a little more, because I had proven myself responsible and capable. So as I matured and demonstrated my abilities, they trusted me more and I experienced greater freedom. If I didn't behave well, then I'd lose some freedom, and some trust. This is what the Lord does for all of us, allowing us to experience consequences and to fail and to doubt, so that if and when we choose love, we can accept it whole-heartedly and use our wisdom - our capability - for so much greater good than harm! And I believe it is a difficult choice on purpose - so we put in the effort and earn more power, and more freedom - not because God wants to see us struggle, but because God knows that we can't do good things with powers we can't understand or control, anymore than I would let my toddler drive my Toyota. She's a wonderful girl, but that doesn't mean she's ready to operate a motor vehicle. A lot of skill building, maturity, and probably about 4 feet of growth are required before she could handle such a vehicle. We know that when we are good to each other, when we relinquish control and experience the joy of being part of the Whole, we can be in a peaceful state that has none of the misery, fear, anger, or obsession that comes with the alternative to God's Plan. We can be led, and peaceful, and loving, and because of that, we can experience so much more creativity, joy, and flourishing than we ever could when we live of ourselves. We have to give something up, though, and that's the illusion of our own authority. We have to admit we're just one piece of a bigger picture, and be okay with that. And the more we admit that, contrary to expectations, the more powerful AND more free we actually become. I see how it doesn't seem like freedom on paper, but the experience it provides IS freedom. I think it's freedom by a divine definition - an idea of freedom that transcends the idea of individuality and independence as the definition of freedom. Spiritual freedom isn't doing something alone, from yourself, it's being part of a system that doesn't require you to do everything, but allows you to focus on what you love the absolute most, with the people you love the absolute most, to create freedom - peace and love - for everyone. I am not sure I make any sense but Curtis generally does, so here's some episodes that talk about these ideas more, from short to long: "Why Does God Want Our Gratitude?" th-cam.com/video/khLVT97A3-4/w-d-xo.html "Why Does God Want To Be Worshiped?" th-cam.com/video/ltY1dva8VxE/w-d-xo.html ''A Higher Kind of Freedom and Happiness" th-cam.com/video/L_RK-ajhxCc/w-d-xo.html "The Freedom of Self-Compulsion" th-cam.com/video/WsSJs8ne6Co/w-d-xo.html "Doing Evil Freely Seems to be a Kind of Freedom But It Is Actually Slavery" th-cam.com/video/zjq5HOeRMfU/w-d-xo.html "The Power of Heaven's Angels," th-cam.com/video/5stx6Nd4j64/w-d-xo.html Let me know what you think!
Tome Rodrigo it's true God's will is above our free will, he can turn us into puppets out of our control, when and if he wants he'll use us and intervene our free will for his purpose of goodness on a scale we cannot comprehend, even if it means through our personal loss or suffering.
Thank you for all y’all do! 🙏💛🙏 That makes so much sense and is so beautiful. ❤️ I remember a few weeks before my husband was suddenly killed, I would lay my head on his chest and really listen...like I was trying to memorize his every heart beat. I didn’t understand why at the time. Even after almost 20 years together (since we were 19), along with the romance stuff, we had a funny/sarcastic/playful deep/true friendship (hope there is at least some sarcasm allowed in Heaven!). We weren’t perfect, but we genuinely enjoyed spending time together. We were each other’s person and always on each other’s side before _anyone_ else on earth. I always felt so safe & secure with him/us. After over 4 years now, I still feel we’re connected and I look forward to seeing him again (even if I _do_ have to chase him across the levels of Heaven....I’ll catch him!). 🙏❤️🙏
WonderWoman0313, I'm sorry to hear of your husband's passing, and I'm glad you had that moment and memory of your time together before he left this world. I have to assume there's some sarcasm allowed - because otherwise I'd have to believe I'll never make it to heaven. NDE survivor Howard Storm said Jesus has a wonderful sense of humor! Makes sense! You can watch that here, "Howard Storm Describes Meeting Jesus," th-cam.com/video/D2IVdJ00ob8/w-d-xo.html Since I heard that, I realized even our sense of humor comes from God! It sounds as if you had a really powerful and beautiful marriage, and it makes perfect sense to me that a love that strong would continue across the veil. I bet your states will be more similar than you think - perhaps he is growing spiritually much like you are, and you are still more connected than you even realize? I don't know, but I bet you have a sense of this! Thanks for sharing your story with us, God bless, WonderWoman!
This doesn't capture the incredibly powerful flow and waves that start in the heart and spreads out to beyond the limits of the human form, but I can see that it's not possible to even say it. I fully agree with swedenborg though. The closest thing to it would be a "heartgasm". Prolonged and that lifts up the spirit instead of lowering it. It slowly subsides and weightlessly and gently passes with strong bliss and complete acceptance for both you and your other half. If that is what he meant? I love this guy!
Chris and team, Do not over-platonize it. Yes, it is a "heartgasm" - but an "orgasm" as well. Swedenborg does not denigrate or eliminate the latter, as if the "lower levels" were not spiritual or meaningful, especially when linked with the higher levels. In computer terms, call it a "full stack orgasm" that includes mind, heart, spirit, soul and (spiritual) body with its very substantial bio-complexity. Throughout the centuries philosophers have tried to virtue-signal by denigrating the body and elevating the spirit - sort of like "more Platonic than Plato". Not so with Swedenborg. I hope you at the Swedenborg foundation do not fall into the same "Plato" trap that the early church fathers did. Stay true to Swedenborg!
I guess Swedenborg was referring to the human body and the chest being like a public square, I see. I have found that HAPPINESS is the key 🔑. For happiness brings on many possibilities, for me it would be to help out or be of service to God. As for marriage, I wouldn’t know about that because it never materialized for me here, but maybe in the afterlife? I always welcome a new experience as long as it isn’t negative or painful. 🙂🙂❤️❤️👍🏻
Yes, Julian -- new experiences ahead for you! Swedenborg says that happiness is a RESULT of helping out and being of service to God. You're definitely on the right track! :)
So glad you're liking these episodes, John! Yes, an NCE translation of Marriage Love is in the works, going through the editing process, finalizing annotations, etc., along with a couple other works, and the remaining Secrets of Heaven volumes. It will be a wait, still, but it's coming!
@@offTheLeftEye Ok thanks a bunch! It makes sense, I just don't know for a fact who my other half will be. My ex or my now husband. I'll be surprised I think!!👣👣
@@sherriehaynes8811 yes that is definitely something to wonder about! Kind of an exciting thought. Either way, it will be for the best for all involved! (=
I love you guys, thanks for the great videos. Swedenborg is the reason I re-evaluated positively Christianity in general. I was wondering if you could do a video on the way to avoid co-dependency and unbalanced relationships, where one side gives and the other just takes, often also unconsciously and without realising it, thereby without any kind of malevolent intent behind it. Conventional spiritual advice would tell you to just keep giving, be patient and accepting, and that your need to "receive back in a balanced way" comes from ego and must be eradicated to leave space to "unconditional love". And I've tried, and many others have too, but it's a recipe for disaster in the real world, sadly. Does Swedeborg talk about this? Thank you again.
Definitely don't just keep giving, YouNolf! Part of true love for others is giving them what's healthy - enabling people who suck the life and energy out of you, and offer nothing back, helps NEITHER of you! It's a real bummer. We don't have episodes that use the phrase "co-dependency" but we do have some that I think really address what you're talking about, and give some advice based on what Swedenborg learned about what it really means to love. I don’t know about this, What if you’ve had two previous marriages, and none of them worked out? And you don’t want to return to either previous woman? What’s the point of marriage there anyway if everyone loves one another, and there’s no longer children that need a father and mother to raise and care for them. Why are single people that never found this “soulmate” left out of this joy in heaven?
They're not left out, Brian, and no earthly marriage is a predictor of how you'll spend your eternity. Swedenborg says that the Lord leads us most carefully to find our partner in the other life, no matter what our partnership journey in this life has been. He says we do meet up with our earthly spouse(s), and have a chance to see whether we are a true match or not. If not, we move on and find our genuine partner. But if there is truly no "pull" between you and a former wife, maybe that part doesn't happen. Love is what pulls people together. Swedenborg also learned that the reason we are paired up is because it's a representation/ correspondence/ reflection/ image of the union of Divine Love and Divine Wisdom in God. I guess we'll all find out eventually how it all works!
How about if one twin flame is crossed over to heaven & the other one is left on earth, is the flame communication would still be taking place through the heart chakra ♡, since the bond is through energy? Thanks in advance ☆
Great question, Mimi tee! The mission of this channel is to share the first-hand reports of Swedish scientist turned mystic Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772). He talks about energy, and spirals, but does not directly talk about chakras. He grew up in Europe in the 18th century with a Christian upbringing, so that may not have been in his vocabulary! However, while I can't explain the mechanics, I believe twin flames separated by worlds are still very much connected. Swedenborg said that twin flame (he used the term conjugial partner) marriage is a prerequisite for heaven - it's that important. Love never dies, and your souls are still entwined if you have that true connection. Here is are some episodes about twin flames and marriage in heaven: "Will We Be Married In Heaven? Yes." th-cam.com/video/GZ2zs94piDM/w-d-xo.html “2 Become 1 In a Twin Flame Relationship” th-cam.com/video/3KaqTwpY27A/w-d-xo.html “There Is A Union of Minds In A Twin Flame Relationship” th-cam.com/video/0mnbwQtcZ7M/w-d-xo.html “What A Twin Flame Couple Looks Like” th-cam.com/video/LW0PudFWrfg/w-d-xo.html “Spiritual Marriage” th-cam.com/video/K7Nyz6EvR18/w-d-xo.html “What Married Love Is” th-cam.com/video/_C9CJQlZDD4/w-d-xo.html “The State of Married Couples After Death” th-cam.com/video/V_iEjrqEA9s/w-d-xo.html And if you're curious about who Swedenborg was, here is a short video about him: "Who Was Swedenborg?" th-cam.com/video/HEa0e8AcS78/w-d-xo.html Thanks so much for your question, I hope this is useful! Now one time after my mom had passed and i had fell asleep on the bed on my stomach In my minds eye my mom knelt down beside me and says hey lets get out of here and I got this tingle from my head all the way to my feet and it woke me up and i remembered it felt so good i wished i had stayed in that moment so I think there is a mingling of the energies that causes this when 2 energies combine.

You're very welcome, Janie!
That was awesome! ❤️ Thank you! 🙏🙏
I'm so glad you thought so, Poonam! Thank YOU!
Thank you for all y’all do! 🙏💛🙏
That makes so much sense and is so beautiful. ❤️
I remember a few weeks before my husband was suddenly killed, I would lay my head on his chest and really listen...like I was trying to memorize his every heart beat.
You can watch that here, "Howard Storm Describes Meeting Jesus," th-cam.com/video/D2IVdJ00ob8/w-d-xo.html
Since I heard that, I realized even our sense of humor comes from God!
It's weird because my fiancée Jamica passed 3/12/21 at 350a the last thing I told her was I love u and I'll find u I miss my Mrs.Sexy
I think that's VERY well and beautifully stated, Dakatis MOONBLADE! Thank you! We love you too!
@@dakatismoonblade3450 Got it! And, Curtis, sorry for calling you Chris. My bad.
Thank you for doing these videos.
On point.
It's our pleasure, Janine Patricia! I'm so glad they resonate with you! We couldn't do them if no one watched, so we're very grateful to you!
offTheLeftEye Thanks! And you too!❤️🙂
I am enjoying your recent shows on marriage. Any chance we will see a New Century Edition of Marriage Love?
So glad you're liking these episodes, John! Yes, an NCE translation of Marriage Love is in the works, going through the editing process, finalizing annotations, etc., along with a couple other works, and the remaining Secrets of Heaven volumes. It will be a wait, still, but it's coming!
That's very interesting, now I'm going to wonder but thank you and God bless you!!👣👣

Ok thanks a bunch!

Here is are some episodes about twin flames and marriage in heaven:

Can married couples join at the lips there? (in other words, is kissing allowed)?
Swedenborg says they have sexual union there -- and it is a true union of SPIRITS, not just bodies.

This is interesting , I remember reading this channeling from the other side and this person was with a love and they hugged and when they did there is intense vibrations that are felt (kinda like how we have sex but described as way better) you mentioned the sex word first----lol made me think of this as the person from that side said it seemed to start in the head and stay in the chest area for a bit before going on down to the feet.
Oh, Angel Shining DJL, how wonderful to have that visit from your mom! Thanks for sharing that!
Yes, seems sex here is a preview of the possibilities of love - interesting to ponder! Thanks for your insights!
