Historians around the world agree Napoleon’s iconic hat is one of the most culturally significant head ornaments of human history, second only to Laith’s hair.
I was going to make a funny comment for being so early but all I could come up with was “Napoleon.” Nothing else. Just “Napoleon.” So uh, here’s an algorithm boost
I attempted a Napoleon run a few months ago at the age of his exile, but in West Africa. In a few generations I conquered all of Africa except Ethiopia then I got a 100k peasant revolt and claimant faction and ragequit.

Man, the Napoleon film was terrible. They turned him into an idiot. He was a military genius and the film downplayed that genius to an insulting degree...
I watched a video about Napoleon once where he was in Egypt and had some egyptian advisors. They were from the former Mamlukian court and Napoleon wanted their help and respect. The advisors thought it was funny to ask him to convert, and he almost did it. But his french advisors convinced him not to, imagine the outrage. That was a nice trolling. 😆
Laith addressed this. The English also pretended that him being short in comparison to his bodyguards meant he was short period, and used that as propaganda.

Variety in MaA works the issue is that it doesn’t work as well as you would like because when it comes to MaA counter the number of troops matters. So an army with 5,000 pikemen would get countered by a diverse army with 1,000 armored footmen but the pikemen would still do about 70% damage because they aren’t fully countered. It’s not useless but if you have a really good MaA like Varangian Veterans or Horse archers you might as well commit to them because the AI won’t build enough counters to actually impede you.

I think that the Napoleon movie was fine, Joaquin Phoenix did a good job with the character he was given. But whatever that character was, it wasn’t Napoleon.
