    I really enjoy your videos. You are very honest about how much effort it takes to come up with not much. As an elderly digger I get it.

    Hi Charlie, another great Not Thursday video. This place definitely looks like there’s more to be found. I agree with you. Thank you, Joyce ❤️🙏🇺🇸

    Looks like a decorative metal ceiling tile from the late 1800's to early 1900's that were in some homes, but I mainly seen them 😢drug stores hardware stores that I've seen, but could have been most anywhere back then

    Wow Charlie three Mission Accomplished right of the bat. The the drawer decoration way out near the wall. So crazy. How household items wind up out in the middle of nowhere. Great video 😊

    I love to have the chance to walk these woods with you , not to metal detect but just to check it out . I don't have the patience to do metal detecting , but to see these walls from people that did them .

    The wetlands area could well have been dry ground in the 17-1800’s, but abandoned homesteads near water of course, fall pry to beaver and once dry ground becomes a bog. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Interesting mushrooms. I think the one you focused on is deadly (there is a similar one that's good but I'm not good enough to be sure) but there were tons of great, edible ones in the background of the views of this video.

    I'm from Oregon, and we don't have the walls. Can you tell me why people took all the time to pile them up. Was it to clear the land for crops?

    • @tinman7130
      @tinman7130 ปีที่แล้ว

      it was clearing the land for plowing

    • @frankmonroe8320
      @frankmonroe8320 ปีที่แล้ว

      Needed land separation and the stones did have to be cleared for crops etc. Wood was too valuable for other things then fences.

    I don't see many videos filmed in the Pacific Northwest, by people like yourself and other detectorists located in your region. I wonder why that is? Perhaps it is that our history is not as long.

    Why do you find it so fascinating that theres some old junk near some old worked land? You're out there in 2023 with no reason to be out there, their whole lives were in that field/area
