Best Blender tutorial for a while - great attention to detail! Everything is at a good pace and speeds up / slows down in the right places, and I particularly like how people can follow along exactly i.e. the same hex codes. Massive thanks!
Man, I finally found a person who not only demonstrated the video but also explained the reason why he is using that feature and also what that feature does to the elements. I am an absolute beginner in using Blender and I have watched 100s of videos to learn the basics. This is the best video which I have ever seen. Lachlan, awaiting more videos from you with this kind of a detailed explanation. You can be a life saver for people like me. Thanks man.
can we see product animations and simulations next on how you teach it is like so perfect. This is just a gem on how it was taught its so good and easily follow along. Thank you man!
A crap load of information, but absolutely fantastic. Will have to run through this tutorial a few times to get it solidly in my head. Thanks so much - keep them coming...
You should maybe concider doing a few tutorials on product, logo and label design as well. I love what you did with the coffee idea. Do a few explanations on mood boards and how you get to the final idea and result. You are clearly a good teacher - the reason why this tutorial is kicking but..
You just saved me so much headache, I was starting to hate mantaflow because I couldn't get my splashes right. this is by far the best splash tutorial out there!
You can also sharpen up the edges alternatively by using creases, Shift+E to add a crease and then you just use your mouse to control the crease amount. It will sharpen up the edge without adding additional geometry essentially. Of course it has its down sides compared to adding loop cuts but it some situations it is better.
At 1:02:23, how do I get that UV vertex window open? When I got the image tab open like yours, it didn't show the UV vertex window. EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. I need to just click and drag on the image tab to reveal the uv vertex window.
Just in case anyone stumbles on this and wonders why their water simulation looks "blocky" or "low resolution", first check the SCALE of your objects. For example I tried this on a small scene (a 30cm tall botttle) and regardless of the scale of the editor (the spheres) and resolution, I could never get this to look right. I scaled the whole scene up by 10x (the plane, the emitters, the domain) and then it all looked perfect
After you set it all up, make sure you set it to Modular. First bake the sim (at the top of simulation settings) then bake the mesh after. The mesh is what you actually see :) CG Geek has a great tutorial on it, so search him up!
It's easy to find someone who teaches Blender, but it's hard to find someone who teaches it well. Keep doing what you do!
I've just watched the first few seconds and I'm a member of this channel forever
Hurts me that he has only 2 vids
like way you explain what you are doing everytime, S X or G Y, lot of people do not know how helpful this is, great work

Is this for beginners too? or just intermediate
I followed you , but the simulation does not work. I did not understand bake mesh
