If you watched that game it was the inability of the Steelers (notice I don't put all of the onus on Fields) to notice that the Cowboys were stacking the box more often than not and DARING the Steelers to throw the ball. I'm pretty sure Fields doesn't have carte blanche to audible out of running plays and it's pretty obvious that's what they wanted to do was to run the ball. A savvy veteran QB who has the green light to option out of those designed runs would have been doing that all game.

NOPE.. JF2 didn't play poorly, he missed on a couple of throws missed an open Najee, but that's football. The fact of the matter is that the Steelers need a WR2 or WR1A. After GP is shut down, there's no option besides Muth at TE. You guys are completely unreasonable. JF2 gives the Steelers an added run threat, especially with a rebuilt offensive line, Russel Wilson cannot get out of the pocket. Furthermore, the Steelers would have never picked up Wilson had the Bears not been trying to play hardball with Fields.

First off, this is the wrong conversation. Outside of TJ Watt, that defense is trash 🗑️. Steelers defense gave up 400+ yards to the Dallas Cowboys offense. Steelers had the lead in the 4th quarter. That defense practically let teams walk up and down the field. Need a WR2, the recievers aren't getting open. Rhey also dropped passes! The running game sucks. Najee Harris is not it. The OL is playing below average, and you're up here talking about Russell Wilson. He probably would've been sacked 20 times behind that OL. Justin still threw for 2 TDs. In that game. The play calls were predestrian, running the ball 🏈 6 times on 1 drive. When the running game is non existent is a problem. That's not on Fields, that OL needs to protect him better.

RW's presence when healthy will be a distraction. RW media machine will make it one. Steeler vets don't need or want that. Neither does JF.
If JF is the Steeler future they need to let JF grow and get better and play against the contenders they face in the second half of the season. No RW training wheels.
Commit to JF with an extension NOW while you can get a better price.
RW ain't a Steeler next year. No way. If you lose JF also, they have no one. Sign JF and coach him to be better.

It's so easy to blame Justin Fields for the offenses lackluster effort, but go back and watch the film. He has no one to throw to, and his best receiver in George Pickens gives little to no effort on routes. The running game is equally abysmal because Najee has no burst and is constantly scratching and clawing to get 2 yards.
Justin has been the best player on offense all season. Has he missed some throws? Absolutely, but he's making plays behind a banged up O-line and a cast of high school level receivers.
