Yes, they want to win, but as a front office, you always want to have one eye on the future. 2026 is a big year. There are two new teams which means a double-expansion draft that will gut every team's bench. You need 2026 draft picks to backfill that cheaply so that you can have a good young core and lots of cap space to sign who you want.
Indiana has to give up a block of players plus draft picks for a player that has a history of being injured, doesn't sound like a good situation for the Fever. Best hope for Indiana is that Sellers, Citron, or Morrow are available at 8 and keep rebuilding with a young team.

I have these visions of the Fever taking up a spot with Sabally, spending that money and her sitting out half the season (or worse) hurt again.
