Agree, can't understand y it's compulsory to ve kiss scenes nowadays in dramas, I mean a good drama should not be based on it. I mean there are so many movies or series in the past b4 the advent of this trend, it's absurd
I really don't understand why many people are so disappointed with the blurred kiss scene. First, it's not really important to show it, viewers are aware of what's going on anyway, and second I'd take a blurred kiss over an awkward one anyday. I think this scene was really well made, with the beautiful music and those shots of Change and Sun gripping each other which say more than any kiss could. Honestly, it was kind of hot precisely because you don't see it and it's left to the viewer's imagination.
People complain not seeing the real kiss they did here. But I think they really did it because their body language is so intense and they embrace very very tightly. At the end of the production probably the director decided to blur the image for whatever reasons they had. I think even without hot kissing scene of these two the drama is so good. Very well made and I hope to see more project together with Reba and Leo.
I feel what the director did wasn't bad so I'm not sure why people complained about it. The only problem I have with it is that the birds shatter the mood. After they showed up on the screen I couldn't take it seriously 🤣🤣🤣
Since the filming & the drama already finished, a behind-the-scene of this very GeSun moment will surely do to make up for their ending. I mean the drama is good but for someone who had read the manhua, GeSun's ending is quite "unsatisfying" in my own preference . All through out the drama GeSun had 3-4 episodes long separation multiple times than an actual romance moment. What i mean by romance moment is not literally by kissing or intimate moments but rather them having long moments together. The writer should've considered the manhua's readers preference or expectation on the actual romance plot since the manhua wasnt able to get to that point before the hiatus & the writer could've have make use or take advantage of Leo-Reba's strong chemistry to that or emphasize the romance plot by giving GeSun long moments together. I also don't think the writer couldn't done any sweeter other than just a GeSun hugging becoz of Leo-Reba's age gap. Anyways i've got some unsatisfying issue regarding how they totally changed or scrambled the plot/scenarios/dialogues but overall it's a good drama. If only i just didn't read the manhua first & expected too much since after drama was confirmed but nontheless i've enjoyed it coming from someone who rarely/seldom watching dramas/series/movies. Hopefully Leo-Reba got to work together again on another project.
JxJx I think they want to leave room for future love story development in season 2. They leave it open for our imagination. I know how you feel that seeing epic drama like this needs some more serious romantic scenes but I think again we have to remember both characters background. They both went through very traumatic events, probably the writer and screen writers wanted to keep the characters true to themselves. But also I am hopeful for the sequel. From what they left in the final scene, I think they want us to crave for more. Both Dilireba and Leo are now in demand to be in the same project again especially the international fans. It will be a teaser soon I hope like the end of this year when Leo and Raba done their drama shootings. They are in commitment right to with their respective new roles but I don’t want to close the option that there will be season 2 of the long ballad! They bringing money to the production so it will be pity not to pick up the fans demand. Lets hope!

I'm probably the only manga fan here who is just..... Furious!!they could hv taken some of the scenes from the mangaka n put it in instead of tis.... Plus in the manga there was a lot of stress on how her mom had beautiful blonde hair n green eyes to show case the very mixed heritage of the tang people. N why chang ge smwhat had a complex abt tis😭. I suppose had too high a hopes for China to do diversity right😩

Just saying, this is probably the best kiss scene you’ll ever get in the whole drama. Chang Ge and Ashile Sun didn’t “kiss” after this anymore
