What an impressive man. When his personal opinion differs from Russian foreign policy, he is careful to say so - for example in relation to altering the structure of the UN Security Council to reflect a multipolar world. However both Russia and Dugin agree that the move towards keeping in place the unipolar world where the US reigns supreme is neither desirable nor feasible. [Realists in America like John Mearsheimer say the unipolar world has already unravelled anyway.] Dugin correctly - in 2016 - identifies Donald Trump as a realist of the Realpolitik school of foreign policy. And he predicts - again correctly - that Globalists will move heaven and earth to stymie him or even get rid of him. Dugin mentions that Trump's life might even be in danger, because of the enormity of the threat he poses to the Globalist World Order which aims to smash the national sovereignty of each individual Nation.
Each Nation, whilst co-operating with others where possible and desirable, must be in FULL control of its own destiny - that is the base from which Dugin starts. He notes that America itself could do with being rescued from the grip of Globalists who want to keep it as a world Hegemon - this strategy is not much use to the country or its people. Americans have lost control of their own country - many are openly saying so.
The initial topic of the interview is the attempted "putsch" against Erdogan by western-backed groups led (from the safety of Pennsylvania) by Fethullah Gülen. Dugin makes it clear that Russia does not support rulers like Erdogan or Assad because of who they are, but because of WHAT they are - the legitimate government of Turkey or Syria, which should not be subject to arbitrary "regime change" just because Globalists don't like strong Nationalist leaders.

Dugin has the tendency to go on different media and say what will please the host country (except the US). In his book, he considers Turkey an eventual enemy structure and proposes an alliance of Greater Russia with Greater Iran. Notably, on Iranian TV, in contrast to this interview in Turkey, he mentioned Iranian philosophers, religious concepts etc., with which he identifies. That says a lot about his preferences.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has literally zero to do with Russians culturally or genetically
The Islamic Republic of Iran used to be known as Persia before 1925
Citizens of the modern country of Persia *ARE NOT* the same as the "Iranians" of Antiquity
The Aryans were from the Eurasian steppes and they conquered the old civilizations south of the Eurasian steppes...the Middle East and Ancient India
Persia was never genetically Iranian...they were a hybrid culture that mixed old Babylonian society with the customs of the new Iranian/Aryan conquerors who ruled over them
The Aryans were always minorities amongst these old civilizations they conquered, they left zero genetic influence on Ancient India and Ancient Persia
Sarmatians, Alans and Scythians were ancient Aryan/Iranian people that *WERE NOT* intermixed with Indians or Arabs...they were described as blonde and blue eyed...they stayed in the Eurasian Steppes while their Iranian brothers went on to conquer those southern civilizations
Eastern Europeans are genetically and culturally descended from these ancient Aryan people...not from the Arab or Indian lands that then called themselves "Iranian"

    • @ArrowBast
      @ArrowBast ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@joecool9739 Aryan itself is a term only originating in Sanskrit and Persian Languages and there is zero evidence they are anywhere from Eurasian Steppes - they originated closer to Sumerian and Dravidian civilizations judging by the number of Dravidian, Elamite and sumerian loanwords in old avestan and sanskrit - like the region between Zagros and Hindukush and stretching north to the Caspian Shores. Aryan itself means noble , civilized town-dweller and their original homelands are the lands of Afghanistan, NorthWestern India, Pamirs and Northern Iran and East Anatolia/Armenia .Aryan does not mean nomadic steppe dweller - the correct term used in Avestan and Sanskrit language refers to these nomadic steppe dwellers as Barbaras - Barbarians and are considered to be degraded aryans owing to their migration to steppes in search of mining locations and marrying aboriginal women of the steppes and forest hunter gatherer women of the Eurasian boreal forests Ancient North Eurasian women to the north and ancient West Eurasian women in the West, these migrations co-incided with the spread of agriculture in Europe in the Neolithic farming revolution where they replaced the older hunter gatherers culturally and partially genetically . The oldest traces of dominant West European Y DNA haplogroups happen in the himalayan regions of India - the deepest rooted clades of R1a, R1b, R2, and its immediate ancestors like P, K, F are all found in and around the Indian Subcontinent where they reach highest diversity and suggest their original differentiation from out of africa haplogroups CT & DE. Indian subcontinent is that bounded by the drainage basins/watersheds of the Indus and Brahmaputra rivers. Horses were first domesticated in Afghanistan and its very name comes from the Aryan word for horse Asva, horse keeper Asvakayana corrupted by Arabs as Afghan. The Sarmatians were and Iranic people of antiquity and have not much to do with modern definition of Iran , but Iran underwent lot of significant cultural changes in 2500 years especially after succumbing to Islamist rule over the centuries. Frequent climate changes in Central Asia after the end of holocene warm period drove many migratory waves of people in all directions - starburst migrations which have led to the complex linguistic diversity in Indo European languages spoken from Iceland to Maldives as these original migrants married women of diverse ethnicities they encountered as they went along in various directions over time . In group marriages were shunned as a form of incestuous marriage and men were always encouraged to marry someone different .

Since EU and USA would most definitely keep Euro and US dollars, it will all boil down to the strength of currencies. Strength of currency compared to another depends on the demand on these currencies. And Russian roubles or chinese yuans compared to Euros and USD are negligible on foreign exchange transactions. Because investors and people don't trust the currency and monetary policies that is not backed up by civilized world, and mainly handled by corrupt dictators, and even a communist party. Investors and free market are as unbiased and impartial as they get, capital has no home country. They are biased to west simply because people trust the major currencies of democracies more. Even Russian and Chinese people, and their leaders want euros and dollars, as eager as gold. You can make a pile of Global reserve dog poo, but you can't make it worth more than gold.

15:00 "Realist tradition in international politics is based on absolute recognition of sovereignty. So sovereign Turkey, with sovereign USA and sovereign Russia... we could create different forms of geopolitical alliances."
A perfect instance of double standards par excellence as on 24th February 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine. In reality: the only variable that matters is power. The whole concept of justice in international politics is based on degrees of power. Any given nation will seek to expand until there is another force that can keep it in check.
At any rate, though tragic for the Ukrainian people, this invasion will only serve to make Europe stronger, and was therefore a positive development for the EU. One is only to hope that it will be capitalised upon accordingly.

@@KnightEurasia The Western world invaded the territory of the Soviet Union and pursued a policy of genocide and destruction? Is this supposed to be a joke? I suggest you review, for your own good, the information/meme bubble where you find yourself in.
The fact, dear sir, is this: Germany and many countries in Europe (excluding the UK and ofc the US) were pursuing a very friendly policy with Russia (e.g., Merkel got criticised a lot for her over-friendliness with Putin over the years) up until this year. The sentiment behind this policy was this: if we are strongly economically related with Russia, then it will be more likely that Russia becomes a friendly state.
Now, this war is going to bring a lot of suffering on a global scale, not just the hunger issue (which Russia's government is deliberately causing btw) but what is worse, the global warning problem. That is all very regrettable.
However, as I said, nobody will back off even as much as an inch to Russia's elites. As a matter of fact, Russia will emerge much weaker from this conflict. This was a catastrophic miscalculation of the Russian leadership, whose real consequences will become apparent over the years (unless the current course is significantly rectified that is, which appears very unlikely to say the least).

I was a Dugin-fan, since I like his idea of Euranianism. But thanks to this interview my sympathy collapsed. So thank you!
How can this man say that the West was behind the "coup" in Turkey? Turkey IS IN THE NATO and (unfortunately) has fantastic relations with the west, which permits that the West never did sanctions against Turkey for all the violations of human rights.
He says that Erdogan is fighting against curds and daesh? Does he really not know all the buisness between Turkey and IS? the support of the muslim-bortherhood (another sect) and protecting terrorists? The expensionist visions of Erdogans new soultanate? his wars in Iraq and Syria?
Sorry Dugin, you love Erdogan only because he shows opportunistic sympathy to Putin, and you blend all the lack of human values he represents. What kind of "philo-sopher" (lover of wisdom) you are? You are only a resligious ideologist, and an opportunist like Rasputin.

      @utvpoop 2 ปีที่แล้ว

The fact that Turkey is a NATO member is not enough. The American and radical liberal elites support Turkish counter-elites like Gülen (and these around the world like Navalny etc.). They want to intensify the rotation of elites in these countries and make the process of it more democratic rather than religious, national or any other. Thus they make the world more globalistic an united (but under their hegemonic power of course).

_How can this man say that the West was behind the "coup" in Turkey? Turkey IS IN THE NATO and (unfortunately) has fantastic relations with the west, which permits that the West never did sanctions against Turkey for all the violations of human rights_
The West lead by the Washingtonians is notorious for fomenting coup d’états and invading many sovereign nations in almost every continent for decades, and against anyone who does not want to be their vassals or reject their suzerainty, *THAT'S HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION.* History is witness to their nefarious deeds that even you can’t deny, unless you are dishonest. As for the _fantastic_ relations with West and that the West never did sanctions against Turkey for all the violation of human rights, you mean the human rights that your West violates every time they see fit, review your history to find out all by yourself, granted you are an honest, objective and avid researcher. The West lead by the Washingtonians sanctioned their NATO member including Turkey, it seems that you missed or ignored a lot of news these past few years.
_Does he really not know all the buisness between Turkey and IS?_
You mean -ISIS- *USIS,* that’s a creation of the Washingtonians and their masters in Tel Aviv. Inform yourself.
_The expensionist visions of Erdogans new soultanate?_
Typical parroting of your mediocre mainstream media. Erdogan’s sultana, Putin’s rebuilding the USSR, and other nonsensical speculations. It seems that you are looking at a mirror Made in America.
By the way, a *sultan* means a *ruler,* or the one who has *authority,* nothing else. Rulers like Biden, Putin, Macron etc... They rule their respective countries.
_Sorry Dugin, you love Erdogan only because he shows opportunistic sympathy to Putin_
A stateman who sees the chance to defend the interests of the country he represents, is a real stateman whether you like him or not. Anything besides that is just an opportunistic who defends his career and his pocket working for others special interest parasites and not for his people.

Let’s look at Ukraine’s disgraced former president, the legitimately elected Victor Yanukovych. After he fled to Russia the idea that he remained the legitimate head of state, and therefore the manner in which he was replaced was automatically illegitimate, was commonplace. This line of thinking was heavily promulgated by his new host country for reasons that are self-evident. But was it right, or even logical, to claim this?
The legitimacy of the Yanukovych regime indeed began with a fair election, albeit an election in which the Ukrainian people had no good choices. But could that legitimacy go on unquestioned despite the blatant grand scale theft of state resources? No. Of course it could not.
Common hooligans and thugs were brought to Kyiv by the Yanukovych authorities (first recorded on Nov. 29, 2013 when the revolution was just a few days old) to terrorize the residents of the capital. This act was completely in contradiction to Article 3 of the constitution that Yanukovych was elected to uphold. It was right to question Yanukovych’s legitimacy after this.
Can the legitimacy of a ruling authority survive past the blatantly illegal adoption of laws designed to end democracy and create a dictatorship? No. Of course it cannot. Yet, this is what the Yanukovych controlled Party of Regions attempted to do on Jan. 16, 2014. Later analysis of images taken in parliament that while 235 MPs were declared to have voted for these “dictatorship” laws, only about half of this number of MPs were actually in the session hall when the vote was taken (by a show of hands - also illegal.)
After such clearly anti-democratic and dishonest actions, can anyone consider that authority to be legitimate? The actions were a breach of Article 5 of Ukraine’s constitution - something that Yanukovych was under oath to protect and uphold. But he failed to keep his word.
There were more violations of the constitution by Yanukovych, its supposed protector.
Article 27 of Ukraine’s constitution says that “Every person shall have the inalienable right to life. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of life.” Yet Yuri Verbitsky, a 42 year old geologist from Lviv, was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by forces belonging to the Yanukovych regime between Jan. 22 and Jan. 25 of 2014.
That Yanukovych had already lost any legitimacy by this point should be beyond question. Later, of course, came the deaths of many more people on Jan. 18 and then Jan. 20, after which Yanukovych fled to Russia, insisting his authority and position were still legitimate. Define legitimate.
The idea that legitimacy carries on from appointment without further question is a complete fallacy. It is something that we should refuse to accept. An elected leader most certainly can lose their legitimacy through illegal and/or unconstitutional, actions. The most recent public attempt at increasing the fog blurring the distinction between legitimately elected and legitimate comes from Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Bottom line, they are not the same, although it is easy to see why Russia’s ruling clan would seek to pretend that they are.
