i bulked and did strongman training until I noticed i was at my most muscular and once my face started to get poofy i did the calorie cut--no alcohol-fast food all that jazz. its been 6 months but ive gone from 245 to 225. even losing muscle mass i still look way more jacked since you can see more muscle. but i definitely went thru the skinny fat phase where i was like wtf is this lol

The reverse is true too: where you have cut down a lot, then you start to add in more food to return to maintenance or bulking, and the first few days you are still lean, but you are filled up and filled out, and you look and feel amazing

I've never stopped dieting cause of my look, it's always been because I didn't want it enough, so when it got difficult, I stopped cause I couldn't justify the difficulties of low energy and hunger, especially while working a physical job.

I hate diets and I love to eat, I've always justified my eating by working and training hard. Yes this would work when I was in my 20 because my job was physically demanding but my cardio was good but I was always hungry, now that I'm in my 50's I know I gotta watch my diet which I definitely hate doing, I wish I could have done this dietary discipline eating when I was younger in order to train my stomach but I love eating like a pig 🐖.

Just eat healthy satieting food man. Fullness vs hunger matters a lot. You can intermittent fast in the morning or whatever but you have to actually make good habits which is not simply a logical choice but takes repetition to build like any habit.

Why do yall teeter totter diet? Get fat then crash calories and feel like crap? Youre all doing it wrong. Dont let yourself go so much in the first place and have patients when dropping weight. Also, you can drop fat and keep glycogen up the majority of the time. Fun fact, your liver needs glucose in order to be able to break down body fat and use it as energy. If youre cutting cals low... have fun. Your liver holds about 400 cals btw and when glycogen is low and youre starving its always running low. Dont do starved cardio. Theres a reason your brain doesnt like it. Just eat a clean 50-30-20 and put in the work. Your body has been evolving for millions of years...it knows better than you do. Every one gram of glycogen in the muscles draws in 3-5 grams of water with it. When youre low glycogen for days on end your body draws in water from other places to keep you alive. Then when you carb up finally theres no water under the skin and you look tight and pumped.
