  • Copying and pasting code you found online to help solve your problems will help you learn how to code unless you actually spend time understanding the code you are copying. Listen to this video to understand why.

    I agree with this.
I used to do this when I started learning to program, and I can confirm that it is one of the worst mistakes any beginner can make.
Doing so might not feel wrong in the short run but it has an adverse effect in the long run.
And, good job on your amazing and helpful content!

Yeah it’s a bad habit for sure. People trying to build react applications and have no clue how useState works because they are just copying and pasting everything

I like your videos and advices you give us for free. I learn a lot from you. I've recently started my first developer job and with each one of your videos I realize what I'm doing wrong or what I could do better. So thank you for your time and effort you put in these videos!

thank u for ur help. I want to learn to code and do it by self-study. it's a great idea if we practise and do our coding.

Very strict approach. Not essentially agree, but you are right that the more understanding the better.

Thank ya for the video! It's a really good topic to cover. I've definitely seen that behavior and did it myself too :x
My pet peeve is when the only code I can find is super complicated so I spend hours breaking it down gggrrr Now I know how to use intersection observer muhoho! But if there's code I can't read at all I skip that fluff :p

This is basically 99% of all "coding/dev" TH-cam content creators.
