thanks so much! managed to pull out the head unit after watching the video so I could get the serial number and a reset code without visiting the dealer. :)

After removing last 4 screws from radio my radio os still stuck hard. Do you have any experience with this? Is this because radio is not removed 14 years?

I have a problem. When I try to pull the radio out (the stock one) it doesn't come out. I Pulled out the 4 T20 Torx that's holding it yet it doesn't come out. If anyone knows a fix to this please help.
Ideally you should disconnect the battery when doing any electrical work, but it is not drastically important in this situation. Thanks, Select Spares.
I saw this comment and thought oh okay I don’t disconnect the battery. You do need to disconnect the battery for anyone that sees this comment ! Once reassembled the airbag light is constantly on. This happens dude to the warning light being disconnected. You have to remove the warming with a special kit. I’m not happy

Yes, this is suitable for all Golf Mk5 models.
Thanks 👍

Yes it could be stuck if it hasn't been removed since new. Try prying gently behind the 4 tabs.
bro same problem did you find a fix
@@SelectVehicleSpares i don't know what to do
Great video..thanks. Have a Mark 5 and have coins stuck in the cd player thanks to a young child. Do you know of anyway of removing them?

If it hasn't been removed from new it could just be stuck. Try prying gently around the edges with a trim removal tool to free it up.

Select Vehicle Spares it's receiver for remote door lock
