Got this vinyl. This is straight up Blues. Love it. Disco? I dont know. Chicago Blues. Women come & go. One of the best Stones guitar songs. Woo woo woo woo.
I must have been the only middle schooler at the time to own ALL three versions of this song when it came out! I mean, I had the 45 version first before the Some Girls album[the lead-off track featuring Mel Collins' sax solo] and, finally, this version. I still have these versions after all these years! To think it was their last No. 1 to date.
The first time I heard this remix, I noticed that it was missing Melvin Collins on saxophone. I just watched a piece on TH-cam about Bob Clare Mountain remixing that and he didn’t notice that Collins had a saxophone track on the original and I guess Jagger said it’s OK without it. anyways thought that was interesting
Nope - I'm pretty sure it was Ray Parker Jr/Raydio "For Those Who Like To Groove". Great forgotten instrumental disco track. Remember they were coming off a Beautiful Music format. Can't imagine what reaction they got from all the old folks in nursing homes when that beat started pumpin' out of the intercom... probably had them jumping out their wheelchairs and dancing.
I'll be honest, I'm tired of hearing the Beatles of the greatest band ever. They're great don't get🎉 me wrong but dude if you wanna listen to "classic" music it's the stones all day long, they're a better band
Yup. I feel like eventually, you use up the Beatles. They were a band for less than a decade. But the stones always have something new. And 60s Stones, 70s Stones, and 80s Stones are all unique facets. As you say, the Beatles were great, but I prefer the Stones.
@@logann7942 I'm with you on that. But I prefer the original version, with the harmonica. Mick didn't have to hire Sugar Blue for that part; he could have played it. I can play it, so it couldn't be that hard.
😅Stones produced one pop masterpiece after the other in the 70"s.
this is pure disco and i love every moment of it
This song reminds me of the 1970s cars clothes styles and a summertime feel
Perfect shower song, thanks for posting!
Maybe if you want to be late for work.
