They need to stop building in places that get wiped off the map regularly... reminds me about the horrible floods that used to occur regularly and the communities would rebuild afterword and then be wiped out again a few years later. They decided to stop insuring in flood plains and now we don't hear nearly as much about flooding in the Mississippi flood plains anymore.

Some areas will become uninsurable and for good reason. Insurance companies simply calculate the expected amount of damage in the future to calculate their prices. If these prices become to high you should stop blaming the insurance companies and start thinking about the reasons for these high prices.
