    The “disable trackpad while mouse is connected” setting is for when you’re using a mouse and the laptop’s built-in keyboard. If you rest your arms on the laptop while typing it could cause some input on the trackpad creating some quirky situations.

    it sounds like the magic mouse does not have a tap (in lieu of click) option, the way one can do on the inbuilt trackpad? is this correct? I'm not keen on anything that requires physical clicking because it always makes a sound but I can't find a mouse that allows you to tap for click and I'm not sure if the apple mouse does it.

    • @DHTV
      @DHTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately if you maxed it out, other then the accessibility setting there isn’t an option. However, if you use it on a hard surface or a non fabric mouse pad, I find it speeds it up a lot.

    I have an issue. I just bought the latest Magic Mouse and I’m new into the MacOS. I feel the mouse does not track my movements as precise as I used to do it with my previous windows OS. It feels like I have to do a lot of effort to point at a very tiny detail. I assume there’s a solution for this. Any advices? Thanks!

    • @DHTV
      @DHTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have found that some fabric mouse pads are the issue. Try on a hard surface without the pad and see if it’s better.

    Thanks for the video, very helpful. I only have the secondary click, smart zoom and mission control activated and I'm wondering if you know how to stop the swiping motion when reading emails. I have a new iMac and am using the new Outlook feature
    . As I scroll through my emails I'm finding that it's very easy to delete them as I naturally must be swiping slightly and the red delete box comes on. Is there anyway to stop this when looking through emails. Id much rather highlight an email and have to press delete. Appreciate your help.

    When I bought my iMac I know nothing but got driven mad by the screen jumping to a very large view of a corner of the screen. It made me close and start again to get rid of it. Now I know how to disable it as I do not use it. I nearly took it back to the apple shop as I found it annoying. Now I know it was an intentional feature and how to stop it. I kept googling as to why it happened as I thought it was a fault. No manual meant no information for new users.

    Hi, does the magic mouse support horizontal scrolling? I'm wondering if that interferes with the scroll between pages option (with one finger), and if the scroll between pages option is enabled with two fingers, how does the scroll between full screen apps function change? Don't have the magic mouse yet so I can't test it out myself. Thanks for the video, incredibly helpful!

    I am a long time Windows user who has just got a MacBook Pro, and I was pleased when I realised that the Magic Mouse I had for an iPad Pro would work on the MBP. I use an MX Master 3 on my Windows desktop, and they seem to be popular for MBP users, but I am actually finding the MM a good match for the MBP. Especially if you are going to be travelling with it. I learned some good tips from this video, so thanks for that. I am gradually getting to grips with the Mac, but some of it has taken some thinking about, and it was a relief to discover Rectangle after finding that Macs do not park windows like Windows. WTF is that about?
