Beautiful. My great grandson did the dutch pour. When I was taking it off the rack, it was not completely dry and it started tilting on me and I left a thumb print on it. I wanted to redo and he said no.. I want my grannies thumbprint too. Love that painting monster lol.
I love that story! and one thing I really love about acrylic flow painting is that the kids can crank out some pretty nice work on their own. My seven year old son and I paint together, and he even wants to do You Tube videos and show other kids how to do it, so guess what daddy bought for Christmas?

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I AM SO SUPER EXCITED!!! After watching for a long long long time and collecting a ton of materials and lots of confidence, I mixed my first house paint base coat with all kinds of cool stuff in it (who knew that you had to add so much??). Tomorrow I will mix my paint cups and do a Dutch pour. Every single one that I have seen you do is just stunning so I'm starting with Dutch pour. My Mom died on July 15th (a few weeks ago) after a two month battle with cancer. Long story short, she wanted to die where she was most happy in her childhood (Cocoa Beach) but the cancer spread like fire. She was an artist so I told her that since she could not go to Florida, I would bring it to her in a pour painting wave. Well, after she was gone, I promised my Dad that I would still make it to honor her memory and my promise to the best and most beautiful Mom a girl could dream of having. I still haven't worked up the might to do the wave because my heart bleeds every time I even think about her. Instead, I will learn to do this kind of painting well so that when I can get even a slight handle on this grief (it does not feel like it is going to happen but people tell me it will. She was my best friend in the whole world. She was a giver and never a taker. She loved people and even though she didn't have very much, she never passed by anyone in need.), I will be able to do it some justice because nothing could ever come close to her. I didn't mean to make people sad. I just know that this is my path to healing my soul because I have never been so broken. Wish me luck as myself and my daughter begin our painting journey together. God bless each and every one of you. If you have a Mom, no matter how imperfect, love her. Call her today, go by and see her. I looked through our Messenger messages and I realized that I am a self absorbed brat. Beautiful...Have you ever used flat white house paint for he back ground? I’m doing some large canvas on 24”x48” and I would need 2 bottles of Amsterdam which gets costly. 2) you prefer not to use Floetrol? Only Water?
Love your work it’s beautiful and has inspired me to try myself, my first attempt, I washed off after blowing most of the paint of canvas🤣. 2nd attempt I kept even though it’s far far from perfect but will persevere.... quick question, how long does the paint usually take to dry to a point where you could hang it
This is so beautiful! Also one of the best pouring videos I've watched - I've never seen someone blow with your breath like that. I'm about to play around with some pours because I want to make a mantle art piece that brings together all the wall and decor colors in my house. Lots of rich jewel tones and I'm super excited to mimic the method you did here.
Wait did you not use a pouring medium? Only water? If so, is there a sealant to prevent discoloration and aging over time? I ADORE this look and would love to play around with it without risking quality.
