I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to play this movement with a real orchestra, so this arrangement is a life saver for me. Sounds amazing!
I've listened to other versions of this melody, but this one, by far, is the best. He doesn't rush the notation...and it comes across as clear a crystal blue lagoon on a moonlit night. Perfect.

@@dceuro399 I think you are thinking of a different movement. I imagine the Allegro Gentile. But Durrant CRUSHED THIS incorporating both guitar and orchestral parts. And he gives this transcription out for free. Just...try to know a little bit of what you are criticizing.

There are so many beautiful renditions of this most wonderful piece of classical music but I agree it's a smashing rendition. Congrats. To the artist. You are superb.
I remember my grandfather in the 60's talking about this beautiful song, wish surprised me too much, because music has never been his preference in life. It was a remarkable moment, wish I have never forgotten.

This whole Adagio is full of Pathos. You can feel the pain Rodrigo felt at the loss of his first child. Victoria must have been gutted. It's so beautifully sad.❤😢

I discovered this treasure by searching for guitar arrangement, after having won a Godin acoustic guitar from my daughter on my 70th birthday on the 27th. She is passionate about this masterpiece and I set out in search of an arrangement so I could play it in the best possible way.
Through all this I am having the privilege of being able to study the adage of the Concierto de Aranjuez.
