I started the school year with doing a poem a week to teach the 4 types of poems students are responsible for on the FL 3rd grade test. I am excited to look at this poem resource because in Florida 3rd graders are responsible for the figurative language types so these will be PERFECT! Thank you for sharing it.
I read a PD book this summer about doing repeated readings of poems and my students really like it. They ask me when I don't have a poem for the week, where is our new poem of the week!

Have you shared with the parents of your students what you are teaching in the classroom in your reading lessons and stuff?
There are educational tools and resources out there that will make Speak 'n' Spell submit.
All you need to know is 2 names. Vtech and Leap Frog.
