Hey hey! I’ve seen other build simmers say the only way to make building a residential rental bearable, is to build as a residential lot & divide the lots into residential rentals once you’ve finished building. The lag in build mode is something I’ve seen a lot of simmers talk about. I hope this helps!
I'm the same as you when it comes to giving sims negative traits. So all my families end up as these perfect neat, creative sims who love their kids, which gets boring after a while, but I love the sims I create and can't bear to make them evil or a slob and some traits I just find annoying like, dance machine or hot headed lol. Anyway, I love your rambling and your builds. Looking forward to the lets play, which I'm sure I'll become addicted too.
YES exactly 😂😂😂 like I don’t want to give them negative traits or make them have bad family relationships!! I feel like the emotion system and just the overall way that the sims 4 works can make the traits seem more annoying than in some previous sims games imo. Actions & emotions that go along with the traits just seem excessive sometimes 😩
I think for adding to family, a granparent would be good. Also, maybe you could alternate between one family a episode or multiple, if there's a mix of responses on that. Really though, I think however you are most comfortable playing it, is going to be fine for us 😁 can't wait for the next video!

Just give yourself some grace, I think you should put all the family on a wheel and let the wheel pick for each episode... I hope this helps....You are doing amazing ❤❤❤
I often get lag from build mode and just press esc so it stabilises again, unfortunately there is no fix for it since an update awhile back. I'm loving this so far and can't wait to see the next episode already ❤
I've found my game really laggy during build buy since the for rent pack came out and it broke my game big time. I really love building but it's really driving me mad! Looking forward to seeing you play your beautiful Village x

I can’t remember if you said you had build buy mod but just fyi it has a favorites option now! So if you click the wheel on your mouse it’ll favorite an object that way you don’t have to keep searching for items you’re going to reuse. The favorites option will be in objects by function btw :)

Hey Alyssa, love your build style and I'm super excited for the gameplay! I downloaded your village off the gallery but noticed the rocks you placed around your lot are missing and was wondering what pack yours are from?
Oh nooo that’s so annoying!! I used live edit mode rocks from the Cats & Dogs EP. In my experience building the lot, those are the only rocks that would sit in the right place along the raised terrain (while all the other ones kept snapping to the top or bottom ground ) which is why I only used those!

I tried using other live edit rocks to complete it myself (coz it looks really weird without lol) but experienced exactly this problem :D Might have to get Cats & Dogs some time then, wasn't too interested before but love the animal gameplay from Cottage living so should be worth it!
Really?! That is so weird I was thinking it was just my game. I probably should’ve tested some rocks before raising the terrain but live & learn I guess 😂 I like the cats & dogs pack! I put pets in my sims households a lot but with time kind of forget about them bc you can’t actively play as them or see their needs or anything and sometimes they just become annoying honestly. But I like the other stuff and the world that the pack comes with

You could add a teen sim. Maybe the property owners Son or daughter. Or an elder sim in the Preston household. So excited for the let’s play.
