Changing the Atmosphere of Life

One of the characteristics of successful people is that they do not like to procrastinate in many aspects. And this is parallel to spiritual life. So, do not procrastinate. So if God still gives us the opportunity, let's be serious. The Jewish historian, Josephus Cicero, in his writings shows how tragic Jerusalem was when it was destroyed by General Titus. Bodies were strewn in the streets, the magnificent temple of God was destroyed, even though the temple of God was a symbol of the unity of the Jewish nation. Tragic. But this is nothing compared to the tragedy when someone is separated from the presence of God forever. Not to intimidate and scare, but the Bible says that the unclean will not enter the New Jerusalem. So we must not just be good Christians; we must be holy.
Don’t be afraid to hear the word “holy,” because it is our habitat, our nature. That is what is needed for our peace. And God wants to visit us so that we achieve the holiness that God desires. Don’t think that there is a double standard; the standard of the pastor and the laity, the congregation. Our standard is the same: perfect like the Father. Because we are servants of God, from servants of sin to servants of God. All of us are priests, the leaders of the Kingdom of Heaven, the daughters of the Kingdom of Heaven who must be as children of God. Satan makes the matter of holiness so sacred, as if it can only be reached by certain people.
In fact, God said in 1 Peter 2:9, “You are a holy nation, you are holy people.” We are sanctified and must be truly holy. Satan deceives by appointing only certain people who are worthy of being God’s servants, others are not. If we are not God’s servants, whose servants are we? We must take God’s warning seriously and not play around. This is important, let’s not delay. We must color our lives with life as children of God. We must present the atmosphere of the Kingdom of Heaven in our lives. We are the ones who create that atmosphere, because we are the ones who must open the door or window, so that the atmosphere of the Kingdom of God enters our home, filling the garden of our lives.
Why do some people seem spiritual, so attached to God, while others don’t? This is not the privilege of some people, and others don’t. This is the right of each of us. We must create that atmosphere. Fill the bedroom, the living room with praise and worship. Fill the room of our hearts with praise and worship, with the presence of God in our lives. “Seek Me,” says the Lord, “as long as God may be found.” That means there are times when God cannot be found. When people knock on the door, then there is a voice from inside, “Get away from Me! I don’t know who you are.” It’s scary. What are we looking for in this life?
We eat today, 12-14 hours are wasted. We have goods, they can be damaged, they can have accidents, they can be thirsty, they can wear out. We have money today, it can disappear in an instant. But heavenly wealth-a life in communion with God, a life in an intimate relationship with God-is a treasure that cannot be taken by anyone. Eternal treasure. We must be so enthusiastic about life, because we see the dynamics of life running with God. And we must dare to step forward. Don't wait for the perfect time. We don't need to wait for that time, because it is already in our lives. Now the problem is, how do we change the time of our lives into reality, namely by presenting God in our lives.
Wake up early, pray. Don't look at unnecessary things on your gadget . Have a special time to face God, listen to the word of God. While there is still an opportunity to seek God, seek God. Ask God for something new, that changes us. It takes courage to change the atmosphere of our lives, because it is not easy to get out of our habits and wrong way of life. It is not easy to change the atmosphere of our spiritual life. But we can change it, if we want to. We can live holy, and no one can stop us, because God helps. And that's good news. There is no destiny that can change our lives, except ourselves.
Why is our relationship with God not harmonious? While we are more harmonious in our relationship with this world. We are deceived by the world, bound by the world, and we feel that it is a natural life because almost everyone has a way of life like that. That is the way of life of people who are prepared to enter eternal fire. Realize that we are valuable because we have eternity and God does not want our souls to perish. While the power of darkness tries to pull us out of fellowship with God. Now we are fought over by these two powers. We want to be saved or perished, it depends on us. However, to be able to walk with God, we cannot help but live in holiness.
