@Chris Sutton 1) can't cast far with a split shot. 2) every other fish in the lake eats corn and worms. Your saying it's over complicating when it's really Not if you find a simple rig luke this complicated then I don't understand why you don't try learning it yourself
High fishing pressure areas are really tough. Your going to have better luck at the start and end of seasons depending on where you are. Change up your bait as the often go to corn is not going to work. There are hundreds of less known ingredients that can improve your results. Turtles love bolt rigs and if they are present they will be the first ones attracted to your chum and quickly leave your hook bait-less.
Keep it simple all I use is the knotless knot bit of putty to pin hook link down job done have caught plenty of big fish on it to 40lbs plus as long as your on em find em, cast to em, bait em, catch em.
Some tips: dont use ronnie rigs and overcomplicated rigs - it is pointless, it loses the effect of the carp breathing it in. Dont use single popups. Popups are attractive for small fish and the big carps are often scared of it. Use sinking boilies
Here in Utah I usually use my fly rod and cottonwood seed imitations or they are known for cruising the flats in the marsh eating everything in their path.
I caught a 13,5kg carp on 3 60mm boilies and a 9mm but fir big carp i’d just recommend 1 20mm bc mine was probably just luck most 10kg+ carp i caught were on 20 or 14 mm
Take the crust off of white bread, and add a small drizzle of molasses to the bread. SMALL DRIZZLE! Ball it up and seal by wetting your hand and closing the ball around the hook while you do so. Toss it out and get ready!!!
Yeah whacking anything into the ground with a mallet is a great way of letting carp know you are there and fishing for them. First bivy pegs, now rod rests… please. Ever heard of rod pods for tough ground or better yet rests with an auger type screw tip to cut into the hardest ground easily?
Use a hair line rig with a whole wheat multi grain bread ball an make sure you throw bread balls out around your cast or corn using the same tactic and you’ll get some. got a 50 pound one today using bread
All comes down to the type of lake or river your fishing at, some are very very sensible and some don’t care at all The lake in my town (which is kind of overfished) includes so many carp, but they are so damn sensible, don’t even bother trying to catch them, you won’t, if they see boilies, bread crumbs, corn or anything else they will swim away immediately because they know what you’re trying to do, if they hear a lead splashing, their gone from that spot for the next 2-4 days… managed to catch a 28 pound mirror on monster crab boilies, which I carved into a quadratic block (? :D) The last guy guy to catch one was my neighbor actually, that was 4 months ago… Maybe we’re just too stupid, but they sure are god damn sensible Sorry for the long text btw XD
It does matter depending on how much fish is around.. scaring away the entire school of carp will logically net 0 bites Pro carp fishermen don't set their rods 100m+ away for their tent for no reason 💤
Bro thats waaaaay to fancy, let me give you 1 guaranteed way to catch a carp: Step 1. Get any form of corn Step 2. Place some sort of fermented milk product on top as well as some water Step 3. Leave it outside in the warm weather and wait until it smells really bad and its fermented enough (like 2-3 weeks) Step 4. Put it on a basic hook Step 5. Profit
@@Santje123corn cam be used, BUT bigger baits just keep the smaller (ish) fish at bay. Like....small bream or whatever else can fit corn on its mouth.
I caught a 30kg carp with this: a tiger nut , one 22mm boilies and a bit of wood to make it float better(idk how it’s called) all of that(including the hook) submerged in tiger oil.
You need the swivel pushing into the bait. Leave the tag ends a bit longer then Burn them. Be easier to just buy the bait screws but get the metal ones, the plastic ones drop the bait
How to over complicate carp fishing 101
How is this overcomplicated? Rigs like these are used in most carp fishing
@@EagleFPV43 a split shot small hook and corn or small pice of worm does just fine
@@chrissutton8354 yeah yeah good luck casting 50m with a split shot...
Not over complicating things at all

I swear the carp guys are making the craziest rigs and yet they still catch fish
Not like this idiot who takes a lighter straight to his bait to induce that lovely burnt-plastic aroma though 😂😂
I love carp fishing!
I hate it cause I’m not good yet
I’m just recently getting semi decent at bass fishing
Bruh I caught a 20lb mirrored carb on the bank. My rig was a hook and split shot weight with a little corn
Same lol
I caught a 25 lb carp on nothing but a price of bread and a hook from the bank
I have caught many 20+ lb carp with nothing more then a hook tied to my line and a ball of bread people love to over complicate everything
@@theaverageredneck8426 my go to method i got a 95cm carp not to long ago with that method.
I caught a 20lb carp with a plastic bottle n string no hook
carp fishing is always cool
Split shot, small octopus hook, corn. Boom, carp.
Here In America that works but in Europe you need this stuff
Haha love the dental floss, I use the same ❤😂

Is that even safe for the fish
The fuck is plain panko 😂
A type of bread crumbs and yes 8ts safe look it up on TH-cam works 100% the time where I live
Try use bread. Mix bread with little bit of water. If u have hair alga on ur pond, use them as bait. Tilapia or carp love it

Buy one of the pretied rigs from korda, they catch as no other, and if you are really going for carp prebaiting helps a lot
And as previously mentioned by other fishers, use Cc Moore

Chod rig or blow back stiff hinged rig. Just stick a random pop up on with some flavours. Make sure it balanced with split shot or putty
Scopex (vanilla flavour) is pretty good for carp and breem if you use it as it is and not cutting it down to the size of a mini-boilie.
Take the crust off of white bread, and add a small drizzle of molasses to the bread. SMALL DRIZZLE! Ball it up and seal by wetting your hand and closing the ball around the hook while you do so. Toss it out and get ready!!!
Krill and Octopus working 100%
I use bakers soft dog food in a bit of tiger nut oil and pull one out every hour or so
Try bass fishing
SPAM! Chop the meat into big cubes and fry. Then, when still hot, cover in spiced paprika and garlic salt. Hair rig straight on a big hook.
