Lag is a subjective issue, and defers from device to device. As its not a one way communication, so the receiving device plays an equal and important role. For lesser latency you need to go for CUBETEK models with Qualcomm Chipset.

its due to insufficient power. Suggest use 5V -2 Amp power adapter and try, Dont use fast chargers.

For PC, Laptop not mandatory. Infact for PC & Laptop can use 2 way communication with just USB. For any other connection need Aux also to connect.
