    This is very cool, perfect for some of my gigs. If it were also able to be used as a usb interface that would be even better.

    Great review, that looks pretty nifty. Just had a look and seen their amps too, have you tried them out? Would be cool to see a video about those.

    Hi Aaron, Do you use this much? I have a question about the Auxiliary mix if you have time? In general I love this thing but I come across issues when pushing it! It seems that I can't have the volume all the way down on a channel on the main mix and send the signal to the auxiliary mix. I wanted to have one mic in channel 1 go to the main mix and one mic in channel 2 go to the aux mix for looping purposes. So I turn the volume down on the main mix for channel two and turn the volume up on the aux mix. No sound comes through unless I bring channel 2's main mix back up. Have you noticed that issue?

      Hi! I use it quite a lot. If I ever need extra inputs on my QSC speaker I take this and connect it to the 2nd input. It really sounds incredible. I have not tried to use it in the way that you are describing though. I would reach out the EAE. They are good people.

      Thx Aaron, I did and they've told me to make the Aux pre-fader. I haven't had a chance to look into it since but this should fix the issue, though I'm wondering if it'll just be dry un eqd signal now. Anyways, all fun and games. It's a little beast of a thing. @@aaronshortmusic

    Hi Aaron, great video, I watched your video and purchased this recently, I have a question, I recently installed a schatten hfn passive pick up and I notice that it does not work at all with the stompmix, do you have similar experience with this issue?

    • @aaronshortmusic

    Do you remember what the second pickup you used in this video was? You mentioned it was a magnetic with a mic and it sounded fantastic in this video. Would really be interested to know what it was. Thanks!

      I do not but I reviewed the Schertler Magnetico AG6 with mic attachment two years ago so it was probably that!

    Thanks for the video! Looks like a very cool product!
    I want to add a second pickup to my electro acoustic guitar (I wanna add a magnetic pickup, and my guitar already got a piezo).
    I'd like to use the magnetic pickup for some fuzz, overdrive and synthetizer sounds.
    Should I plug the cable out of my magnetic pickup directly into my effects pedals and into the stomp mix 4, or both pickups into the stomp mix 4 and then to my pedals... I don't know what to think about it. I'm still a newbie in electronics and mixers...
    Thanks! :)

      Hey. Try running the mag into the pedals and then to the mixer. It really is great for that. Let us know if you get one and how you get on.

    I ended up buying two of these. They’re useful in and out of the studio for different routing thru my Apollo. I’ve also use them with my rupert neves 5017 I wish the balanced outputs were out when I purchased these, though I just use a line shifter. I thought we were going to have a bunch of updates by now but there’s still only one that shimmer reverb. Definitely disappointing. On that front. I was hoping for more effects, and maybe even a guitar tuner. Overall happy though who is very innovative to come out with a legit mixer this compact

    • @aaronshortmusic
      @aaronshortmusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wasn’t expecting any updates. I always see them as a bonus with a product like this. From a practical point they are just outstanding units. I use the GigMix these days.

    • @MITCH1221
      @MITCH1221 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aaronshortmusic yeah for applications that you use them for they can’t be beat. That’s why I probably won’t ever sell it. Edit I wish I had them. When I was using primarily acoustic with multiple pick ups, would’ve saved me all kinds of headaches and money lol. Which brings me to the fender, acoustic sonic, single most innovative gear I’ve ever used.!

      @@aaronshortmusic just checked it out. Bad ass! For right now I’m using acousticsonic telecaster with D Addario nickel bronze. They work well with electric and acoustic. Sounds FYI I pretty much use them on all my guitars now however, they do break easier I find. I do miss phosphorous Bron strings now when playing chords, but it’s a trade-off for electric sound. I might as well mention that I play with a farmer foot drum and have a full band sound. No loops. Come to think of it that might be the single most innovative game changer for me. It’s completely changed my whole approach to being a solo artist live, and in the studio. You seriously do not need anybody else with that drum. Lol it’s crazy. Do you know Cam Cole by the way? I want it a farmerfoot drum for a while but when I heard his music and what he’s doing with it, it finally made me shell out $3500.

    Do you think this would work well with one of these outputs going into a full electric guitar pedalboard rig and into a tube amp? I want to use this as the interface for running my sax (via sm57) and an electric guitar into my pedalboard and either into a stereo tube amp set up or directly into a PA.
    Thanks for the video!

    Hi Aaron. How does this compare with for example the Bose Tonematch T1?

    • @aaronshortmusic
      @aaronshortmusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brad. Thank you for watching. I have not tried the Bose but I have heard good things about it. I would decide how important portability is to you and check the specs of each unit and then take it from there. They are both excellent products.

    If i have a dual pickup system and mix the 2 pickups in this pedal and adjust it.. how do i connect my effects (TC Plethora X5) with this?

    • @aaronshortmusic
      @aaronshortmusic  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would probably run from the output of the mixer into the input of the Plethora. That way you are using the mixer as a preamp.

      @001mladen 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aaronshortmusic Ok. Plethora has stereo inputs. can i go stereo (with 2 mono cables) out from mixer to these 2 inputs of Plethora x5 multiefect? sorry for to much questions but i need help. PS. i know maybe quad cOrtex would solve my 2 ickups in terms of EQ and Effects too, and have all in one solution. But maybe the solution with this mixer for pickups and Plethora for effects would be a good way to go too. Whats yur opinion on both? TNX

    Are there different types of reverb (Hall, room, plate,...) with the latest update they added Shimmer. Thx

    • @aaronshortmusic
      @aaronshortmusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can edit the parameters of the reverb. You could lower the mix and raise the decay etc so you can create a lot of different styles of reverb. You are correct about the shimmer but I didn’t have it yet as the firmware updater only supports windows at this time and I use a Mac.
