Good to see hardtails getting featured on the channel. I switched back to a hard tail 12months ago after a few years on a 150mm full sus. Hardtails are way more fun. Everyone should have one in their bike stable. Thanks GMBN
Picking up a new hardtail today. Sold my full sus about 6 months ago and hadn't gotten around to get a new bike so started riding my gravel bike on MTB Trails and remembered how much fun being underbiked is. No downhill or Enduro trails within a 200 mile drive from where am at so having a hardtail over full sus fits the riding a bit more.
Have been thinking about getting a hardtail cuz of the price but as soon as I realised there aren't any mountains nearby I just turned my back on mountain biking...
Yeah should be a Giant Talon 3, Marin San Quentin 1 or a Vitus Nucleus or something similarly cheap with a 120mm Suntour fork. Beginner friendly bikes with reliable components are something newbies will always appreciate.

Hardtails are my favorite type of bike for the riding I do here in east coast of USA. I don’t have enough mountains trails nor bike parks to use a full suspension. MORE HARDTAIL COMPARISONS AND CHALLENGES FOR YOU TEAM PLEASE!!
I couldn’t do both bmx and mtb way back when financially. Mtb way back when was expensive and were not that durable for what I could afford, I promised myself that when I got to old and beat up for bmx, I’d switch. That day came about 5 years ago. I started on a p-bike with 2.5 minions and a 1by set up with guides. That was super fun and a great transition. I love the feedback of a hard tail. Being able to feature on just about everything you encounter. Speaking of transition, I got a bottlerocket a few years later. Short travel is for me. I’d like to get a aggressive fat bike or a genius for its versatility in the near future. So much fun stuff. This sport has really gotten more durable. Now I’m teaching my son all kinds of fun stuff. Got him a hot rock and he is loving the plush grip it’s got.

Please, hardtail bikes are not just "starter" bikes! Some of us actually love them and don't want rear suspension, a hardtail is not a lower-end bike, but a different kind of bike.
@@treasurewuji8740 you know the saying: a full suspension bike will make you faster, but there always will be a dude on a hardtail who's faster than you. Well, that dude is not me :D
He never mentioned its a starter bike. There are many videos of him saying how he and even pros still rides and compete using hardtail. It's just a different type
I dont know why but in my opinion hardtail with rounded separated frames look really good especially with modern forks and wheels, it looks really clean
Just bought my first hardtail today. Marlin 7 with some 2.5 inch Maxis tires as well. I’m totally new to this and I’m hoping this will be a good intro into mountain biking until I’m ready for a more heavy duty mountain bike
At 1:07, should we understand that the front brake is on the right in Britain just like it is on all motorbikes. In my country, Turkey, we got the front and the rear brakes the other way around, which becomes harder to get used to after transitioning from a motorbike to mtb.
When you're new & have only ever shredded the gnar on your hardtail, none of the things that ppl say about the Hardtail vs. Full Sus comparison make any sense. It all quickly snaps into focus during your first 5 mins on a Full Sus.
Rode my first trail yesterday on my new norco. Finding this channel was like opening a treasure trove, I didn't even know what a hardtail was two months ago 😅 Thanks for these beginner videos lads!
With modern shocks you don't need to do it. Shovk absorb also little bumos in the climb like roots and stuf. Only when u stand on your bike climbing like an idiot. 😁
Yay, more Hardtails. How about stress-cracking test of carbon HTs to finally resolve some myths on the frame material? How much OTBs and crashes does it take for the frame to end its life during normal usage (and bit extreme)? Are they really that fragile and can take less abuse? As there are many empty frames waiting for Shimano parts now, maybe sponsors will let you break some ;)
@Brass Cooling Thanks man, it feels good when I get it up, it's just controlling it, I try using the brake and it's too much, I'll get there I just need to practise a lot more. I am pretty good at wheelies
Tough shout is that, I’m about the same height and it’s right on the cusp of most manufacturers sizing! I went Large on my Whyte 901 and am pleased with the sizing. I was fortunate to get an opportunity to ride a medium size for comparison before I bought mine, and I’d suggest if you can get a test ride to go for it as there’s little substitute for seeing how a bike feels to ride in my opinion.
Hi from Greece....I would really appreciate your advice if it is possible!!! I am about to buy a new full suspension 29er trail bike (a low budget one) and I am between the Cannyon Neuron al 7.0 and the Scott Spark 970. I am about to ride, mainly steep forest roads and I would like your help in here. Thank you very much,
"I've got a trusty Tree I placed here earlier" Love it!
0:20 wheelie
1:30 manual
2:20 pump
4:20 bunny hop. 😂420
6:30 line choice
Bless you
Nice!

Pretty sure it's because people are asking, as that's usually all I see in the comments lol
There's usually a hardtail week as well.
A lot of great content in general. Shame it's winter and weather up here in Scotland is bad, so I can't go out anytime soon to try these :(
Just got home from a ride with the hardtail, haven't even changed yet, and this comes on. Nice.
All these hardtail videos are so sick
I love my hardtail, I started MTB late last year, can’t wait for the new season. Until then see you guys on the slopes! ⛷
See ya there bro

Do hardtail gmbn challenge with Neal and Blake, of course with u ;D

Yay!! A hardtail video
Gmbn is so good. I have a hard tail and I love it so thanks for all the tips 😁
am a beginner, have bought a hardtail. wheelie and manual practice tonight then!
Now I'm motivated to go to my local trail despite the weather
I could have bought a full sus but the beauty of a hardtail never fails to amaze me.

I finally just got into Mountain biking and bought a full suspension, a 1998 K2 Proflex 1000, and love it, can't wait to try some jumps.
Some good tips there, hardtails = ultimate all mountian bike 😉
More hardtail content. I love my pipedream moxie.
Glad to know my new ‘21 NukeProof Scout Pro 275 is a beginner bike.
Awsome vid just got into MTB and I love my hardtail.
Soft stuff is a must as I learnt this week

Riding bike now for 29 Years and Hardtail is soooo fun if you knew what you doing
I started out on a duel suspension bike Marida 120 600 good budget bike 🚴
Thank you Mr. Payner for the review..I hope I can learn well
I used to skate a lot when I was younger. That's how I used pumping almost instantly on a bike, because I had to do the same on my skateboard.
Imagine seeing the woods full of static bikers crouching like poised snakes. I'd be rolling around with laughter 🤣🤣
I honestly love GMBN
slack and long hardtails are pretty nice, really helps and the skill stays when you transfer to a full sus later on

Thanks a lot for this video.
Love from Bangladesh.
Thank you very much. Very helpful. Take care
Got a modern bike last month, full suss. Already think I may need to compliment it with a hardtail :)
I am not a wheelie guy, but I know must practice better my bunny hop. Essential. :)
Loving the videos, keep it up!
GMBN Hardtail channel pls!!!
It was clear educational video. Thanks a lot.
Best cycling videos
Always appreciate this kind of quality and informative video from you...🤙🤘
Great explanations.. like it 👍
Love your pole ❤️ geometry
More hardtail content for the most of us that don't have the budget for full suspension ones
And those of us that prefer hard tails.
Finally hardtail content again

Love your Red Pole!! Have you done a bike check on it? Love to know more about it. 🤩
Is 2021 the year of the hardtail? If it is, happy freaking New Year indeed!
i know very good riders who've been up and down all sorts of trails who can not wheelie or even manual
Just bought a Hardtail switching to trail from road
practice makes perfect.
I think a reference to seat height when discussing wheelies and manuals would go a long way.
well i guess i'm gonna practice wheelies first right, after buying my new bike this week.
Rode my first trail yesterday on my new norco.
Finding this channel was like opening a treasure trove, I didn't even know what a hardtail was two months ago 😅

Rather would ride a hardtail with a dropper then a fully suspension with a fixed post xD
I dunno, i ride a hardtail with a fixed post just fine ( same with my full sus bikes)
we want back "hardtail week"!!!
I'm a beginner and bought a cube aim pro 2020, I'm always afraid of breaking my bike in rough terrain lol
Manuals are really difficult. I never get it high enough, and when I do I go too high and flip out. I need a lot more practice!

What shoes do you wear??? Can you recommend me, please?? I'm waiting for my hardtail and it's time to think about the clothing.
