One watches enough TH-cam videos about narrowboats and the humans who live on them and one might think the only people they know are other narrowboaters as they pass by. It is nice to see you two in a very different setting with non-boater friends. Well done, you.
I've just taken on my second allotment and have been growing my own food for over 30 years. It would be a dream to own land and live in a little cottage. Nice to see you found the comfort of a reserved wheelbarrow Jack, best way to sit in the garden. I've searched your blog but can't find the answer - what camera did you use for this video? Thanks.
It's the real reason wheelbarrows were invented right? Extra seating for down the allotment! Thanks for watching Shaun and for your Super :) That's really kind! We haven't got a page talking about our camera as we're nowhere near experts in making videos - we use this for our camera: sovrn.co/17ey5aq And these two lenses: Sony 55mm - sovrn.co/2lfziao Tamron 17-28mm - sovrn.co/1fcmolh Just to let you know those links are affiliates :) They just give us a little commission if you decide to purchase. Aw thank you! It was lovely, we need to find more time to spend up this way. It's good to be able to spend a fair few days here 🙂 thank you for watching! X
What a lovely place with all the lovely fresh vegetables. And cooking a lovely fresh meal. Thank you for a lovely Vlog. And both dogs are adorable. Have a lovely week both of you.😊😊
You might like to see the mooring that Fran and Rich had - floating my boat. They are just vacating it. Lovely place to have a garden and moor up, do DIY etc when your little one arrives. Somewhere near Skipton I think.
Happy Sunday! Another great vlog!!! My brother & sister-in-law do most of their own gardening..loads of veg and raspberry bushes that they then give to all of us. They do all theirs in raised beds now, easier on the backs. Have a lovely week, see ya next Sunday! 🥰
It sounds like you get a pretty good deal there if you can benefit from the surplus haha have you ever tried raspberry leaf tea? I've been seeing it on my Instagram recently and it sounds yummy! See you next Sunday! X
What sort of spaniel is the beautiful Mable please? Springer? Cocker? Another kind? 🙂🐿🌈❤️ P.s in answer to your question earlier, Tilly is cuter. I mean, look at her eyebrows!! That fluffy little face ❤Perfection, absolute perfection ❤
Lovage has a great savoury flavour (kind of like a natural Maggi), great for soups and stews. Just be aware that it's a perennial plant that can grow to 2m high if you let it! If you want to try cooking something interesting with chard, search for a Polish "botwinka" soup recipe. These days it's often made using whole young beets but the original uses chard.
I had no idea it could get that big! Thank you for the chard tip, we'll have to try that out! The leaves do have a similar taste to beet leaves, I guess they must be related??
@@thistinylife Yes, they grow huge, the one in my Nan's garden was taller than everyone in the family 😁 And yes, chard is very closely related to beets, if I remember correctly it's the original plant out of which beets were bred to have the large bulbous root in addition to pretty and tasty leaves.
Yet another great video if you like living of grid I came across a guy how has been putting video's out for about 8 years he has a small holding in Wales hi name is Kris Harbor to see what he has done is mind blowing 😊
I’ve retired now from gardening, farming and had my own smallholding .The last one in my bucket list was to go back on the boats but l’m to old and knackered P S The parties were Amazing!
@@thistinylife My smallholding was in the South East and it needed supporting by having a job as well .So l fulfilled my dream of breeding ,working and training my Welsh Cobs.and yes a canal holiday is a good idea 👍
Guys, I love your videos, and completely understand that you are looking to make money, but please cut back on the number of adverts..they are so irritating....! 🍷🍷
Hey Steve - we don't have any control over how many ads appear. They're automatically placed by YT... As much as we'd love to not have any ads something's got to buy the mooring ropes 😂 If we worked out our day rate from these vlogs we'd barely be able to afford twine for our mooring lines 😅😅

Lovely! BTW in the USA in CA we are prohibited from using water from creeks or rivers ect. for personal or business use.
Oh interesting! You're allowed up to a certain amount here!
