I love watching FoodKa with my fiance who is from Kolkata and moved when she was young. We miss the food of Kolkata so much. We just can't get anything as good in Australia. I really hoped the subtitles were on all the videos 😢. I am trying to learn Bengali but with the subtitles I would enjoy the videos so much more. Thank you for showing incredible India! Can't wait to visit again.
Mite in AAoostraaalia be careful while visiting "Indian" restaurants. Normally those are run by bangladeshis who name their restaurants as "indian" cuisine instead of bangladeshi cuisine.

Breakfast at flurys has lost its taste and consequently the charm....you get better quality English breakfast at other restaurants at a much competitive price, Half of the heritage eateries of Kolkata has lost its taste and charm....So Buddy Dont you worry....keep up the good work and dont be hasty about jumping on the so called Gravy train of Kolkata....Kolkata is a dying city anyway....try to build a good career, focus on your own wellbeing.

Kolkata has always been very much vivacious in its own way.. Not only by having a touch of heritage, but also as a confluence of several cultures, religions, views as well as feelings.. In that way Calcutta has been evolved into todays Kolkata with it's own stories and memories..that also has an influence on its food culture.

Calcutta to Kolkata is a unique journey for me. When I used to study at IiSWBM, I used to go to Indian coffee house with my friends and sit there for hours discussing music, studies, politics everything.

Mir da , we had a most discourteous experience in much hyped Flurys! When we stepped in the gateman's curt greeting was: Restrooms are out of order! The manager was compl nonchalant. We walked out never to return to reliques of colonial India. The fastfood joint across the road was enjoyable. Kudos to Wow Momos.

I love this sort of documentary which speak about the food culture landmark history of *my state*..... A through this video i just felt the warmth of the city.... Which we feel while walking down the street of Kolkata..... Foodka is incredible mir da's voice along with so much information about the history of this city all over this episode is love.

Hi. Flurys is something which a proper Calcuttan and somebody’s school college has been at St. Xavier’s is very much proud of. It brought a smile whenever Baba used to get the delicious pastries or Birthday and Anniversary cakes were ordered. As age grew the bases were shifted to different parts of the world but whenever we came to Calcutta, Flurys was a must whether it was family breakfast or packing the delicacies. Due to job issues and COVID could not visit India from 2019 to 2021. Gladly this year made it and to my utter surprise I found Flurys near my house at Ekdalia. I visited the shop with my wife and had the coffee with Rum ball and Cream Horn and the taste was same. Before leaving from Calcutta a visit at my in laws house near 23 Pally again found Flurys. We had coffee with Rum ball which was great and packed cream horn and chocolate truffle which to our utter surprise was stale in fact all the chocolate truffle pastries and cream horns were stale. Not expected from Flurys..

Very good effort by Ministry of Tourism and Foodka! Many travel vloggers like us are visiting remotest corners of India and creating interesting contents. I believe little support from government will boost our morals and help local tourism 👍

I can connect with coffee house. This is an incredible place. I am currently reading at presidency University so it is very close to me. Me and my friends used to visit that place several time. But long time past we could not visit that heritage due to covid. Hope we will visit that coffee king in this year. Finger crossed
