While other guests use historical examples and how they feel about the Knicks; Schmeelk uses financial flexibility, skill compatibility and team chemistry. It’s hard not to focus so intensely on the length, rim protection, and ability to shoot from the corners of Kessler, but I could be persuaded that Durren’s rebounding and post scoring are good enough to make up for the loss of Hartenstein. Durren certainly has higher upside than Richards.
Randle needs to stay to evaluate his play in super starting 5, no need for Kitty KAT. Mitch is a monster, he stays too! Knicks brass finagling behind scenes to procure character C. with all their agency connections, they know what’s up down the line. Precious may be collateral damage towards C procurement. Deuce too, agree with meeester shmeeelk.
Like Precious as a 4 but not a five. I don't feel like we can go into the season with him as a back up center fir a full year. To small to play against most centers in the league. NOT much comfordence in him at the position. Good back up 4 definitely not a 5.
Why the hell would Minn want Robinson? Stop over exaggerating a trade proposal. Randle would definitely be heading out in a deal for KAT, who in my opinion would be a much better fit on this current team than Randle. He’s a better player than Randle…period. His defense to which you speak of, is just as poor as Randles! But on offense, he is a better player out of the post, a better decision maker and a better passer out the post. He most assuredly a better 3 point shooter than Randle. I wish they had the resources to pull off a KAT for randle deal, it could catapult us to new heights!
Everything you said is true, but KAT is soft as a leaf. He's not a go-to-guy especially in the playoffs, although he is paid like one. But the real reason is KAT is making $50M a year and Julius is getting half that.

Ppl need to stop with all the “stop hating on Randle 💩”! There are some of us out here that has never had the greatest love for his game, and has voiced that over the years. Giving Randle an extension would be a mistake simply because he has reached his ceiling talent wise, and his skill sets are becoming antiquated in today’s NBA. I would run it back with him to start the season, but not extend him before the season or before the trade deadline. The only reason I could see him extended is because we’ve reached the ECF’s and then a good showing in the Finals, win or loss.
