Awesome videos on your hikes in the Dolomites! Question for you- which 2 hikes would you recommend as most picturesque and doable with our 5 year old (she's used to long hikes but asking more if any are unsafe for little ones). We're staying at Lago di Braies hotel, so will have time to check out that area but looking for 2 nice hikes to do with her and my husband. Love to stop along the way for coffees and snacks as you showed in this video, adds to the charm:)
I very much appreciate all the kind words! I'm happy to help! If I had kids with me, I'd certainly do the Tre Cime Di Lavaredo Hike since you get to see a lot and there aren't many tough hill sections. A few cool rifugios to break up your hike here. Cinque Torre would be a good spot off of Giao Pass to do. Probably wouldn't go to the highest peak up there with kids, but the hikes around are amazing with plenty of rifugios with great food to stop at. Plus, the drive to that pass is really nice with horses also! Hope this helps, and I am so jealous of your guys family adventure!
The views in the dolomites were something we are going to have to go back to several times in our lives. Just incredible. Thank you for watching and I hope you are enjoying the fall weather!
Hello many thanks your information sharing. I am searching how to get the bus ticket. Do we need to buy the bus ticket and reserve the seat before get on the bus? In my coming travel plan, once I arrive to Venice then I will take a shuttle bus to Cortina d’ Ampezzo. I don’t know where I get the ticket in advance.
Hi Patrick. You should be able to look up the route and buy a bus pass at the bus stop itself. The bus we took in this video we had to pay, but we just waited in line at the bus stop and didn't pay ahead of time. So we just got on the bus and paid the driver.
....usually July and August are the peak season and you find plenty of tourist. Best is going on September, still good weather but the places are not crowded as people are back to school and work...
I completely agree. I live in Colorado and I think the same thing when we go out for big mountain hikes. Best time is shoulder season like you said! Thanks again for watching!
@@CoryGrasser I always watch videos about the Dolomiti...I am in love with that area of Italy.... 😉 I guess Colorado must be beautiful too. I have visited Utah, Nevada and Arizona then Covid upset my plan for further trips to the west of the US....

I am amazed at how jagged the peaks are. Thank you for sharing.

Hello where was the bus from ? I am sorry I didn't get it
From Misurina. It's a stop right out front of a small Cafe / hotel
