I used saddle soap on my golf shoes followed by a leather conditioner.
Quick question, what product(s) do you recommend to remove old polish while at the same time not adversely affecting (e.g. removing) the dye of the shoes?
Great question! Pure polish products cleaner conditioner I believe is best suited for this task. It's gentle and won't drastically change the color of your leather goods. Also consider being gentle when using the product as it will then take off even less color.
You will be taking off color but pure polish of all the ones I know of takes off the least. An unnoticeable amount in my experience.
