There was only one audience member who deserved to be there for this performance (the girl at 1:13). The rest of them probably showed up just to hear Maps.
If you think this is just a bad singer singing badly and calling it art arbitrarily, you clearly are not understanding the ironic context and delivery. Karen O can sing and chooses not to in this song for a reason.
I was at this show - they opened for Devo in Central Park. There were intermittent downpours, which rained on her if she was at the front of the stage. Hence the bathing suit and the makeshift rain poncho.
I love the studio version of this but the live act is a bit too much performance art for me. I couldn't really handle the giggling either - I never got to see them live, but was this a typical live gig? Still, I love this song but now I need a dose of Crisis - Different Ways of Decay (that one is on youtube too) or something.

Total awesomeness. Karen O is a true art star.

This performance would make Mike Patton proud.
Clear inspiration with a bit of Diamanda Galas
Why did I never seen this band live? LOL That's a performance, that crowd is undeserving
Seriously, Karen O is fucking god!
Definitely some Yoko Ono influence on Karen O in this song!
This was the first YYY song I ever heard and fell in love with the group back in the good ol' T&G days. Good to see they're still having fun!
