His AI is so annoying to play against. The spinning diagonal slash thing that the AI just spams. Was the same in 6 with The Ancient using the fighting style.

Kilik with his original style (pretty when he mimicks Xiba's style, his moveset becomes his own and he uses the Kali-Yuga), Nightmare from SCIV being InfernoMare (Inferno using the Nightmare armor and his preferred style and being bound to it thanks to Zasalamel), Siegfried with Soul Calibur and not the cocoon version that's his style's third weapon, Edge Master tactically using what's probably the strongest fighting style in the game (Alpha Patrokolos), Elysium being a more true copy of Sophitia (as happens when she mimics Pyrrha Omega) and of course there's Algol too who is a proper Legendary Soul I'd say considering he's the first known wielder of Soul Edge and created Soul Calibur.
God damn, I'm even more terrible at this game than I thought, even though I've spent hours trying to learn the moves. Maybe I'm just not cut out for fighting games but I still love playing SC. My hat is off to you for using α Patroklos so masterfully.
It's really hard doing the Sakura twist back to back and actually having it hit the second time. I did it by accident one time, and I was super excited lol.

Maybe in terms of that, but Alphoklos is superior to Siegfried when you put them against each other. In fact, I think very few styles are superior to Alphoklos.
In my experience, the only styles capable of escaping struggles against aPat are Patroklos, Pyrrha Omega, Natsu, Ivy, Cervantes, Yoshimitsu, Voldo, and Algol. As for superiority, I'd say technically aPat himself, Natsu, and Ivy.
+Koselina I gotcha maxi is a low tier character maybe he's mid tier he's somewhere around there but I've learned how to play against alpha patroklos. I wish you had a playstation man you're really good I would like to test my skill against you but hopefully we can go against each other one day
@@ristyanyesf7327 Setsuka ALWAYS drove me INSANE with rage and frustration. I'd often give up in SC3 because I just couldn't STAND her. The ONLY character I could absolutely DESTROY her with was one of my customs (an assassin). My rule of thumb for playing ANY SC game was "Training? Pfft! Waste of time. Button mashing and "happy accidents" are SO much easier." I broke my own rule, though, and trained with Setsuka until I mastered her. When I got to play Alpha Patroklos, I, too, recognized Setsuka's style in his moveset, making it really easy and fun. Lesson learned. Never discount training.
I find it impressive that you complete the legendary souls mode making it look very easy while I can't and I get stuck for up to an hour with the same opponent, the last time I played it I gave up when I reached Edge master and I already had like 2 hours playing.
The AI in general seem to be brutal when using his style. Edge Master on the hardest difficulty using that style feels near impossible sometimes. He has access to every style in the game so him choosing the strongest makes sense.
It's just only me who want Patroklos came back to SC6, i missed him so much and his advanced Shinden tsushima style (At least can i play as him kid version like Amy and Talim) And i really want to know about story when he was young, What happened in his life and why did the family abandon him? (Where is Sophitia,Rothion and Pyrrha) How he meet with Setsuka (his master) and get that moveset?, And who exactly makes his characteristic so worst and become dumbest and less humanity (Maybe Setsuka was the one who made him look like that because she has raised him all along) There are still many other stories that I suspect about Patroklos, but Project Soul never tells us about that event. Seriously he is the last reason I will come back to play this game now This is best chance to redemption what he did mistake in 5
Soul Calibur 5 had way more story to tell but Due to being rushed they had to use 1/4 of the story they had which would explain all the new characters even Pat but for now we have to go by the info they gave us on him then which is: Pat was a shy boy when he was a kid vs his older sister Prryha being more rowdy. However; that changed when Tira kidnapped Prryha in 3. Sophie went to save her but in doing so became the new host for soul edge due to Prryha doing so affected by its energy that killing soul edge would kill her. Cass fights Sophie to save but is one hit KO’d before Sophitia kills herself to save Prryha. I presume Prryha escaped with Tira as the castle is taken into Astral Chaos with Cass finding her dead sister before being sucked in. After the incident, Sophitia’s Husband Rothion goes looking for them with Pat but lie saying it’s a trip for I think a year but he is unsuccessful so he goes home. Almost all the Alexander family all fall to illness except Lucia their brother during the 17 years leading up to Soul Calibur 5 with Rothion being last. In his dying breathe telling Pat that his sister was actually taken by a tira, his mother is dead from fighting soul edge and his aunt is missing. Rothion dies and Pat leaves to find Prryha. SC5 explains their 1/4 of an ending.

Funny, I can beat both CPU (Very Hard difficulty) and players who uses Alpha Patroklos very well with Yoshimitsu, Siegfried, Nightmare, Xiba, and Pyrrah Omega. I understand that Algol can withstand Alpha Patroklos since Algol can be used to withstand just about any character styles.
Ugh, I can't even get past the first stage in this mode no matter what character I play as. :/ Nice one tho, those last three stages were pretty intense.
Wow, how do you pull the Sakura Twist from standing? I thought only the AI could do it but for us it says that we must be ducked? How can you defend, descend and execute 3aB in a tenth of a second? For example the double twist. After the first one you are standing, where is the 2nd coming from? Also I wonder when it is fastest input. The aB I couldnt do faster and thus I also get Nightmare's skull chopper consistently to a fastest input but this Sakura move is a mystery to me.
I can help you here. Let's go over Alphoklos' move list again, shall we? In his Special Stances area, Alphoklos has two vital moves: Dawn Haze (DH - 214) and Twilight Haze (TW - 236). DH gives Alphoklos instant access to all While crouching and While rising moves, and TH gives him access to all 8-Way Run moves. They are ESSENTIAL for longer combos with this style. I will assume you already understand the notations as well. Example for DH: Shade Thrust - (While crouching 3B:B). I can input 214 to make myself go into a crouching state (Note: I have ducking frames on both DH and TH if I don't input any moves). Then I can input the rest of the move. This also works with While crouching 3aB, While crouching 3A+B, and While rising B. Example for TH: Rising Crescent - (8WR 3_9B). This is slightly different from our earlier example. Indeed, Rising Crescent is an 8-Way Run move. So, I would input 236, and then 3B. This won't grant me quick step speed, but it is a faster way to perform the move. This also works with 8WR 2_8B.A, 8WR 6B, and 8WR 1_7A. (Note: Using TH on an 8-Way Run move that has 44 in it will actually be slower. Example: Sliver Shadow {44B+K}. Inputting 2364B+K is awkward and slower than a simple 44.) Move analysis: Sakura Twister (fastest input) - (While crouching 3a:B). This can be tricky at times. It says to do it as fast as possible. I still don't understand why Namco and Project Soul included two mimic characters in this game. Totally not a great idea and very much a rip-off on their part.
Oh yeah, I forgot about Elysium. She's a female mimic character that only do female fighters' styles. And that only makes my judgement on this game worse.
takarifan I can understand most of it. Edge Master has been a playable character only one other time in the series. And he's an Edge Master; of course he's going to switch through almost every style. Elysium is technically Soul Calibur, so "she" would naturally use the female styles with Soul Calibur as "her" main weapon. As for Kilik... Get Xiba outta my face and return our old style back to us! But then again, if you're going to have a female-style Edge Master, the you need to have a male version as well. It's just logical.

This would have been my main if the input were much easier just like Setsuka's in the SCVI... I mean yeah this is better than his base form but I hate the fact that most of his moves are JUST frames and with perfect timed hit!
There's Legendary difficulty in Arcade Mode which can be unlocked by I believe getting Golds in all the other Arcade Modes? Easy to do with Inferno because he's so damn busted.
Beating legendary souls is just my past time. Edge master is pretty easy since alpha patroklos' moves are easy to predict, how the old fuck you got beaten by the same style? - @ patroklos user here
Alpha patroklos is not a character where you can simply mash combos like some other characters. If you had tried using him, then you'd know how complicated it is to use him. I think he's the hardest character to master in SC5 for a couple reasons. 1) Some of his attacks require "just" inputs. 2) Linking his combos requires fast and difficult inputs unlike easier characters like siegfried. Guys like seigfried generally requires you to press a few buttons simultaneously. AP requires you to input the commands sequentially which means you need to be fast and precise to pull off the combos he did. :)

Yeah, Maxi is easily punishable on some of his mix-ups. I also know how to counter Maxi pretty effectively.

It is a risky move however, as it is reactable to, especially by a Legendary CPU.

I still don't understand why Namco and Project Soul included two mimic characters in this game. Totally not a great idea and very much a rip-off on their part.
They actually put in 3, Edge Master, Kilik, and Elysium.
Oh yeah, I forgot about Elysium. She's a female mimic character that only do female fighters' styles.
And that only makes my judgement on this game worse.
takarifan I can understand most of it. Edge Master has been a playable character only one other time in the series. And he's an Edge Master; of course he's going to switch through almost every style. Elysium is technically Soul Calibur, so "she" would naturally use the female styles with Soul Calibur as "her" main weapon. As for Kilik... Get Xiba outta my face and return our old style back to us! But then again, if you're going to have a female-style Edge Master, the you need to have a male version as well. It's just logical.

This would have been my main if the input were much easier just like Setsuka's in the SCVI... I mean yeah this is better than his base form but I hate the fact that most of his moves are JUST frames and with perfect timed hit!
That's what makes him fun and unique. You're rewarded heavily for your execution.

There's Legendary difficulty in Arcade Mode which can be unlocked by I believe getting Golds in all the other Arcade Modes? Easy to do with Inferno because he's so damn busted.

Wow u mash a lot of combos
How can you "mash" combos?
Alpha patroklos is not a character where you can simply mash combos like some other characters. If you had tried using him, then you'd know how complicated it is to use him. I think he's the hardest character to master in SC5 for a couple reasons.
1) Some of his attacks require "just" inputs.
2) Linking his combos requires fast and difficult inputs unlike easier characters like siegfried. Guys like seigfried generally requires you to press a few buttons simultaneously. AP requires you to input the commands sequentially which means you need to be fast and precise to pull off the combos he did. :)
