Things are not always rainbows and sunshine in rescue. These babies being sedated is minuscule in what these Furballs would be going through in the wild. Thank you for taking care of them and having their best interests in mind.

Whenever I see the fluffy black cat I think of my dear cat, Merlin, who I lost during an illegal eviction fifteen years ago. I am living in a place where I am not allowed pets, so I get my ‘cat fix’ watching furball farm. I look forward to getting a place where I can have a cat again. I can tell you're deeply affected. I am too. I'm still trying to get over my two cats that I had to let go 10 days apart I'm not doing well. One 16 born in my house and one 21 showed up my front door 5 months old. Lost a third 7 me months later. I'm having a hard time processing it all.
Im sorry for ur losses. Its the hardest thing to go through. I also lost a 15 1/2 yr old this past New Years Eve & same as yours, 10 days later Jan 10th my 16 1/2 yr old passed. I follow this woman on YT becuz she gave me some comfort just by listening to her... The Animal Reiki Lady. 🙏
It is so so hard. I lost rescues that I fell in love with so much I never thought to future proof myself against their losses to death. Now with my remaining cat and dog who are old, I tell myself I am not going to have them forever. Everyday I remind myself they are on loan only and a gift to me only for that day. I cannot believe the heartache still feels unbearable at times. You are not alone, and like me you gave your very best to them❤
I got 5 cats 2 dogs , and the tiny chihuahua is not so kind with st. Peter ! Glad hes tiny ! Its like a clean shelter in my home , as im home all day almost every day . I say its hard work , taking care of these guys . As i said ive been here , so they completely know how to communicate with me ! My senior cat 14 , isnt doing so well . She was a shelter about 4 month trapped in a tiny cage with her brothers ..made her alittle hostel. She is know sweet , but know she gets canned food treats daily , she will attack me to get it . She has the meanest mows , i give her space when mad. She was always in the bathroom with everyone , her offices !
Janis, I'm so sorry for the loss of Tristan... I know he was special to you. I'm so happy, if this is how his story was to end, he knew that he was so loved and had a wonderful life. He did not have to suffer alone as a "no one's cat" because of FFCS. God bless.

Hi I needed advice . There seems to be a house cat that was left by home. I heard cats crying in the woods . There are actual feral cats I think around where I live. Anyhow this cat is very sweet not meant to be outdoors . My heart wanted to take it in and wash it . I’m just afraid of disease. Anyhow I created a box with blankets and gave it food . It almost love bit me but didn’t break my skin . I basically adopted it . Im just frustrated because the local animal clinic is scheduling 30 days out for sliding scale fees . Just part of me wants to bring it in I think it also had a few ticks . I can afford basic vet care in my area at a sliding scale fee and it’s monthly supplies . I’m just wanting to bring it in remove ticks and bath it the urge is so hard to fight . Holding back tears kind of . How risky would it be ? I’m definitely taking care of it outside for sure it’s mine now the owner dump it it was my neighbor . It’s just had time to roam and I don’t know if they got it shots .
The eye muscles cannot work, because the sedation medication causes the muscles that keep the eyes closed, become so relaxed they cannot keep the eyes closed. I'm not sure I've explained it well, but that is the reason. They're okay, it's normal.
Tristan had been losing weight. Adric had been on their radar awhile. Yesterday they noticed when Adric yawned his mouth was black inside. They also lost Oreo and gray Gary

Depends on the vet , so many did it for the love of animals ....not many stayed that way . Not all will help out shelters .

I never knew their eyes stayed open when they are sedated. So they actually see whats going on but cant move...?
Neither did I. It sounds more like a paralysing drug. I hope someone explains.
