I am 63 now, and live in Canada, I have watched far too many war documentaries, and movies, I get teary eyed thinking of all the poor lost souls on both sides during both wars, what a terrible loss of life, all the devastation the wars wreaked on the cities, the wasted resources. My grandfather fought in WW1 in France, he was badly wounded; but, made it home. The dedication, and monument at Vimy Ridge is something I wish I could go see in my lifetime; but, doubt I will be able to, to me that monument underscored what Canada was all about, our nation rose to the occasion and did what the French and British could not. There are many Canadian grave sites all across France, it would be wonderful to visit them all before I die. My Grandfather was Lieutenant William Roy Sills, he served in a mounted battalion, that is all I know. Queen Elizabeth, who all Canadians my age and older grew up with, is shown in the video here during the rededication, she is sadly missed. :(

Pas beaucoup de commentaires. Les Canadiens n'en ont rien à faire ?
