In " Un monstre à Paris", the singer is Mathieu Chedid. It's a french artist. I had never heard this similarity in the voices but you are right ! And it's funny to me because Chris Corner is my favorite singer while I really don't like Mathieu Chedid..... 😉

Some ppls when angered to their limits cam have terrifying look, like they would literally kill you if they could only by looking at you. That's what means to me, but question is what it means for Chris. Also similiar look can have some ppl when delighted (like when having an orgasm). Is probably depends on what you can understand yourself upon that phrase.
i always thought it was "try and raise your eyes" or something to the effect of raising your eyes.. it would make sense with what follows, "before the walls come down". although i can make sense of both preceding "before you die" in ^ that context i suppose

What compelling music. It's definitely going into my list of favorite songs.
I have to say my interpretation, based on lines like "A cold breeze blowing over my soul" and how haunting the song is instead of passionate, it's about one-sided sexual attraction to the singer from the owner of the razor eyes. The singer can see the wild and wordless desire in those eyes, but rather than feeling the heated gaze they're feeling cold down to their soul, perhaps even shivering.
"The birds and the bees are getting older": if the two were an established couple, the speaker has gotten tired of the coupling as they aged. If not, the speaker has lost their past naivete and now is wary of people like the one looking at them with a sharp, almost predatory gaze. The animal impulse isn't the urge to have sex, but rather fight or flight against those razor eyes.

I've been hearing from others that this song sings about someone having a psychopathic personality, but what does 'the birds and the bees are getting older now.' mean? I mean, I know what it means, that the sex is getting boring, there's no other interpretation, but what does that mean in the meaning of the song? (I love this song though! Everytime it get to that short bass guitar solo, I imagine someone turning more monster-looking at every pluck of the strings! And Everytime it gets to the waltzing part of the song, I imagine them waltzing with a human skeleton.)
