Use a sewing pencil to mark your straight cut lines. They're usually white and wash or wipe right off...alot of people can't write, cut etc etc anything straight freehand. I sure can't!
You can use a long piece of tape and cut along that line

Hi! I just wanted to let you know about something that I just learned! It might make hemming a little easier for you! My machine apparently came with a twin needle. I had no idea how to use it until I saw a TIkTok about it. It's usually used for hemming (even on in store clothing) & it's great for stretch too! you should check it out on google!
