The vaulted ceiling is impressive. I also like the decorations on the ceiling in the former switch room. The mirror makes a very elegant impression Like a mirror in a castle. Such a historic building has certainly experienced a lot.
Worked in banking for 40 years and managed several banks. That would have been the safe deposit box vault. There should have been another vault for the cash or they may have used a stand alone safe. I am a little confused by the plate that is screwed on the front. Seems as if they could have easily been broken into. The bank I worked in for 30 years was built in the 1920’s. And original boxes were extremely hard to “drill” and later boxes were easier to breach. If a customer did not pay their rent we would have to send certified letters telling them that they had to pay or vacate the box in a certain time or we would drill the box. The contents would eventually be sent to the state which would list the contents on the dormant account report. The bank could liquidate the contents to pay for the damaged/drilled box, but in all my years we never did sell anything because of the customer might claim something was a heirloom or something to that nature. It was not worth the hassle. I have found jewelry, thousands of dollars, silver and a lot of trash in boxes. We had to have the locksmith and two bank officers present and an inventory had to be completed and signed by all. Banking 101 lesson for the day.
Thanks for the info it was interesting to learn.
Almost 100K boys! You earn it... hope you finally make it after this BANGER! 🔥🔥🔥
Hi guys, wow awesome, such a cool place to explore. The architecture (pronounced ar-key-teck-ture) both upstairs and down was really nice, I loved the ceiling upstairs. Thank you so much for showing us this lovely old building. x

Hi Lesley and Jordy, What an other unexpected surprise from Bros of Decay! - A new video in the middle of the week. - Wow! That building
really has some amazing architectural details and looks very decorative. Amazing to see the vaults, you presented to us. I am incredibly
glad and relieved, that this massive and extremely heavy door didn't suddenly close you in, because this would have been then the last
video of the Bros of Decay, as I presume !?! - - - No, I was scared for you. - Again a very amazing and interesting video.
I really love listening to your comment and enjoy at the same time the beautiful back ground music. -
A lot of blessings! Peace and stay safe. - Kindest regards from Switzerland.

Aww. Wish that video was longer. I loved that. 💕
Wow They used to make banks beautiful! Hi from California!
A bank in downtown Pittsburgh, Pa made a shopping mall and restaurant out of an old bank. The vault was made into a jewelry store. The vault door was a huge round door. It was beautiful inside this place. I don't know if it is still a shopping mall and restaurant now it has been so many years since I have been there.
Indrukwekkend. Weer een mooie video.
Wooow 100k congrats bros of decay! 😍 Greetings from the Philippines ❤

hola saludos desde costa rica .me sorprende como pasa el tiempo en esas casas abandonadas . me subcribi 😆 ...no hablo ingles seria bueno pongas subtitulos en español porfas asi comprender lo a dices .saludos y muchos exitos
My grandparents had the same lockbox/safety deposit box since the 1940s. Then as now, you have two keys. You bring one of the keys to the bank and they have a key. They open the box and bring you a metal box that was inside the lock box. You then look over hte contents of the lock box in a secuded area of the bank.
My grandmother has her birth certificate from the mid 1950s in there. It's handwritten by the then principal of the school system. Don't know why she needed it and don't know why it's still there.
Probably these lock boxes had slightly smaller boxes that fit inside them to hold valuables. Valuables were generally not cash, although it could be but heirlooms, important documents for property or whatever, mementos worth nothing to anyone but the person who stored it.
In the US, we call those safety deposit boxes.
Just curious... do you guys need a special permit to access these buildings (or abandoned houses)? It really amazes me how untouched and preserved all the furniture, family photos, etc are! Do people not steal some objects?
Hanna, The way I see it .... Most of the Abandoned groups are there to explore, not steal and if there is a slightly dishonest one among them, they are kind of kept in line by the others and their unwritten code of ethics that says slightly different versions of this .... Take only photographs, leave only footprints. : )
There are a few "Taggers" that will visit some of these abandoned buildings to display their art from a spray can, but they are not there to be destructive. The real tragedy happens when the bored, unethical and destructive few go in and do their worst, destroying the beauty these old buildings once demonstrated. Thankfully the ill-intentioned are outnumbered by the ones with a True Heart for Exploration, such as "Bros Of Decay".
Wow great find!
I spy 🕵️♀️ with my lil eye 👁️ an old world building + brick + checkered tiled floor hmmmmm so mysterious
GREAT FIND

It is agreat video and beautiful
I think the date on the pillar is from a renovation. The vault looks much older.
I love it 🔥
How do masons create those bricked arches without their falling down BEFORE they cured!
Tartarian
Thanks a fancy piggy bank ❤🐖💎💰💰💰I hope you rubbed a key for luck!💶💶💶💲
Cool 😀
If you leave a bunch of stuff at an abandoned bank, at least leave a few giant bags full of paper money, too. 😀
I love your channel, the houses are incredible, I show abandoned houses here in Brazil, more modest houses, but still I love it, I would be very happy if you tell me what you think. A strong hug and all the best for you.

I'm VERY respectful when I go into abandoned places, but it would've be really hard for me to not take at least one of those keys (3:36).
